Amazon mails out the Amazon Toy Catalog (officially called the Amazon Kids Gift Book) every year in October, just in time for your kid to circle all the stocking stuffers and holiday toys they want. One of our KCL staff members got the 2024 one on Sept. 30, which was two days earlier than last year.
This year's title is "Share the Joy." As usual, the book has free games, a Roblox freebie, and 700 toys for your kids to circle and ask you and Santa for. It also advertises an offer for a $150 sign-up bonus (in Amazon credit) if you're approved for the Amazon Prime Visa card.

Those who weren't among the lucky snail mail recipients can order it for free online in English or in Spanish. If you're a Prime member, it ships for free. If you're not a Prime member, you'll need to pay $6.99 for shipping.
You can pick one up (while supplies last) for free at an Amazon Fresh store (Amazon has confirmed that with us). Non-Prime members can shop at Amazon Fresh stores, too, so if you're not a Prime member and live near an Amazon Fresh location, this could be a good way to get the toy book without paying for shipping on the book.

Use your Amazon Kids Gift Book to unlock a free Roblox Squishmallows character.
As revealed in the book, code YEAROFTHESQUAD gets you a free character (Suri the Pink Cow, to be exact) in Squishmallows on Roblox (a game where kids collect digital Squishmallows and build homes for them). The value of this freebie comes more in the exclusivity of having a limited-time in-game Squishmallow that can be redeemed only until Dec. 31. The code itself has no cash value.

This offer went live Oct. 2 (and runs through Dec. 31), and you can apply for it here. The $150 bonus is $50 higher than the usual $100 bonus Amazon usually has on this card. The offer is subject to credit approval.
What is the Amazon Toy Catalog?
The Amazon toy catalog is a physical book that includes hundreds of toys and gifts for kids. Every year (usually October), it's mailed automatically to some Prime members, and you can usually also order it (for free) online if you don't get one (we're awaiting more information from Amazon).
The pages of the 2024 book are packed with best-selling toys for kids — from Lego collections, to Amazon-exclusive toys (including the exclusive Suri Squishmallow), to KidKraft playsets, to Barbie kits, to Bluey sets, to baby games.
Yes, it's a marketing tactic for Amazon, as the book usually has some kind of wish list that encourages kids to tell their parents and Santa what they want.
In past years, we've also spotted deals, promo codes, and freebies called out within the book. In 2024, the book has a code to unlock a free Squishmallows character on Roblox. In 2022, you could scan a QR code for access to a game that earned you free items in Roblox. In 2023, the book came with free stickers. And the books are usually packed with free entertainment for kids: crafts, cut-out masks, and mini-activities.
You’ll find QR codes sprinkled across every page so you can easily view the toys online and add items to your cart with a simple click.
When does the Amazon Toy Catalog drop?
Over the past few years, the Amazon Kids Gift Book has had inconsistent timing.
2024: Sept. 30 (in the mail). Oct. 21 (online order).
2023: Oct. 2
2022: Oct. 17
2021: Oct. 14
2020: Oct. 26
Given the early start the past couple years, we suggest checking your mailbox the first week of October.
