IHOP National Pancake Day is an annual daylong event offering a free short stack of pancakes.
For 12 hours one day a year — from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. — all participating IHOP locations offer a short stack (3-count) of pancakes for free (regularly $7.99). The deal is dine-in only.
The next IHOP National Pancake Day takes place on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
IHOP has officially confirmed to us that the next date for their National Pancake Day is March 4, 2025. The event has bounced around February and March over the years, and had its earliest-ever date in 2024 — on Feb. 13.
On IHOP's National Pancake Day, you get three free pancakes — and an opportunity to donate to local food banks.
IHOP offers their National Pancake Day promotion as part of their IHOP "Month of Giving" in partnership with Feeding America. Guests are invited to add $1, $2, or $3 or more onto their checks in the restaurant or when ordering online. According to the IHOP press release, for every $1 donated to the campaign during the entire month of February, 10 meals will be provided to people facing hunger through local partner food banks.
(In New York and New Jersey, diners will need to donate $1 to get their free short stack.) The IHOP franchisees in the New York and New Jersey areas are particularly passionate about this cause, and the $1 donation supports their goal to better serve their local communities.
