Just like restaurant loyalty programs get you free food and retail loyalty programs save you money on clothing, pet care loyalty programs will help you save on everyday purchases you make for your pets. Petco, Purina, PetSmart, and other top brands and stores want to give you coupons, deals, and more.
Go ahead and take a sec to download the KCL app to be notified of even more deals and pet coupons for your furry loved one.
Join Petco Vital Care for 3% cashback on your Petco purchases.
Signing up for Petco’s reward program — Vital Care (formerly called Pals Rewards) — is one of our favorite ways to save at Petco. When you sign in through the Petco website or the Petco app (iOS / Android), you earn 1 “Vital Care point” for every dollar spent in stores or online.
Once you earn 167 points (or $167 spent), you’ll get a $5 coupon sent to your email.
Include your pet’s birthday when you sign up to get a 10% off coupon emailed to you.
Although Amazon doesn’t have a pet rewards program, you can still get a great deal on all your pet supplies during their first-ever Amazon Pet Day.
Zoetis PetCare Rewards will help you cut down on your veterinary visit costs.
Zoetis is a company that makes medicines, vaccines, and diagnostic products for companion animals (and livestock, too), and these products are typically available through your veterinarian.
When you sign up for Zoetis PetCare Rewards, you will earn 10 points for every $1 spent on Zoetis products. For every 100 points you earn, you’ll get $10 automatically added to your Zoetis PetCare Rewards MasterCard (which will be sent to you via mail when you sign up for the program).
You can use the funds on this card for veterinary visits (and only for veterinary visits. . . it’s not a regular debit/credit card).
Join PetSmart Treats for birthday rewards and the best PetSmart coupons.
Saving at PetSmart isn’t as easy as saving at Petco, but if you’re a PetSmart loyalist, sign up for PetSmart Treats through the PetSmart website or PetSmart app; you’ll earn eight points for every $1 spent in store or online and access to sale prices on PetSmart items.
Once you hit 1,000 points (by spending $125), you earn a free treat worth up to $2.50. Not a particularly great rewards return.
Your best bet for rewards at PetSmart is to wait until your pet’s birthday when you get a coupon for a free treat or toy worth up to $3 sent to your PetSmart Treats account. You can earn additional points by completing your profile (1,000 points) and donating when you make a purchase (8 points for every $1 spent).
TIP: PetSmart Treats members get emailed special deals like a PetSmart grooming coupon good for $20 off services and 30% off an item, plus you’ll be eligible for a free Doggie Day Care session when you buy 10.
If you have at least 5 dogs or cats, Purina Pro Club will reward you for your pet food purchases.
Having at least 5 dogs or cats is a prerequisite for the Purina Pro Club, so if you qualify, you can start earning points by buying Purina products — like supplements and dog or cat food — and uploading your receipts. Points will differ depending on which product you purchase. Generally, you’ll get 12 points per Purina food product and 390 points when you purchase the box of Purina FortiFlora food.
Once you receive 7,000 points, you’ll get a $70 coupon in your email. And for every new dog or cat you register, you’ll get a free starter kit containing samples of their food and breeding magazines.
Join Purina Cat Chow MyPerks for exclusive Purina merch.
When you sign up for Purina Cat Chow MyPerks, you’ll earn 3 points per dollar you spend. You can also earn points by participating in various activities such as referring a friend or leaving a product review, but these points vary in number, averaging about 1,000 points per activity.
You can use your points to get exclusive Purina apparel, such as cat bowls (300 points) or cat puzzles (1,200 points). You can even get rebates of up to $3 for 300 points.
Unfortunately, there are no free birthday rewards for your cat’s birthday, but you’ll get 10 points for free on your cat’s birthday.
Join the Fresh Step Paw Points Reward Program for the best Fresh Step coupons.
Fresh Step Paw Points Rewards gives you 1 point for every $1 you spend on cat litter, food, and treats, and you’ll earn 5 points for every $1 spent when you buy Fresh Step products. You need to upload your receipts to the Fresh Step Paw Points Rewards page, and in a few days you’ll have points sent to your account.
If you’re a Fresh Step loyalist, you can earn 100 points by spending just $20 on Fresh Step products, and then you can exchange those points for a $1 off coupon. That’s 5% cashback.
There are a bunch of other rewards available, and they refresh every month, but you can spend your points on Fresh Step coupons, toys, apparel (for cats and humans), and more, ranging in point values from 100 to 6,500 points.
Join the Pet Supermarket VIP Program to get 5% cashback on your pet purchases.
If you’re near one of the 217 Pet Supermarkets across the country (most are in the Southeast), start earning 1 point per $1 spent by becoming a Pet SuperMarket VIP. Once you’ve earned 100 points, you’ll get a $5 off coupon.
Other VIP benefits include a 10% discount for seniors and military personnel on Tuesdays, and a Buy 6, Get 1 Free offer on self-serve dog washes.
Join Pet Supplies Plus Rewards for the best Pet Supplies Plus coupons — including a $5 birthday coupon.
When you sign up for the Pet Supplies Plus Rewards program, you’ll earn 5 points for every $1 spent, and for every 1,000 points earned, you’ll get a $5 coupon.
Sure, 2.5% cashback isn’t a great return, but the real value comes from getting access to exclusive Pet Supplies Plus coupons. In the past, we’ve seen Pet Supplies Plus Rewards members get 25% off any online order, $5 off a $30 purchase, and $5 a pet salon treatment.
You’ll also get a $5 coupon for any item in the store for your pet’s birthday.
