If you find yourself at Bed Bath & Beyond without a 20% off coupon, don’t panic. Their Price Match Promise has your back as long as you’re a rewards member, so locking in the lowest prices is easier than ever. Bed Bath & Beyond will price match most of their direct competitors, including Walmart, Amazon, and Target. That means if a competitor has a lower price for the same item, Bed Bath & Beyond will match it so you pay the lower price.
I dug into the official price match policy and lined up everything you need to make the most of it. Because who wants to overpay for anything? No one.
Don’t forget to check out these other top ways to save at Bed Bath & Beyond and stay up-to-date on all the latest Bed Bath & Beyond deals we find for you.
1. Bed Bath & Beyond price matches a bunch of major retailers and even Amazon.
Bed Bath & Beyond will match the price of most of their direct competitors, from local stores to big box retailers (just not Kohl’s). That means your chances of finding a lower price somewhere else are pretty darn good. Just a few of Bed Bath & Beyond’s direct competitors include Wayfair, Walmart, and Target. They’ll even price match Amazon, as long as the item is sold by Amazon and not a third-party marketplace seller.
Their Price Match Promise has a few conditions, but overall it’s a simple policy.
To qualify for a price match at Bed Bath & Beyond, the item must be:
- In stock at the competitor
- “First Quality” (aka new, not refurbished or used)
- Identical in UPC, brand, size, model number, model year, and color
- Sold directly by the competitor (not through a third-party marketplace seller)
2. Request a Bed Bath & Beyond price match in store or over the phone.
There are two ways to request a price match. You can head to a Bed Bath & Beyond store and ask an associate to match the lower price, or you can call Bed Bath & Beyond Customer Service and ask for a price match over the phone. In both cases, you’ll just have to show proof of the competitor’s lower price through an online ad, screenshot, or printout.
You will need to be a member of their rewards program in order to take advantage of price matching, though.
3. You can get a price match before or after you make a purchase.
Yup! Even after you make your Bed Bath & Beyond purchase, you can request a price match if you find a lower competing price. Make sure you hold on to your receipts for any purchases you make in store. You’ll need a receipt, invoice, or shipping confirmation to qualify for a price match after your purchase.
If you haven’t bought the item yet, all you have to do is show the competitor’s price to an associate when you check out in store.
4. You have 7 days to request a price match after your purchase.
Bed Bath & Beyond won’t adjust prices after the 7-day mark, so you’ll have to hustle to find a lower price if you already made your purchase. Every time you shop, keep an eye out for competitor price drops over the next week.
When you see it, don’t sit on it!
TIP: Download the Krazy Coupon Lady app and set up deal alerts for popular brands and stores so you can keep track of any price drops.
5. You can use a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon OR get a price match (but not both).
Unfortunately, you can’t use a 20% off coupon from Bed Bath & Beyond and request a price match on the same item. This is especially important to remember if you’re looking for a price match after your purchase. If you used a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon when you bought the item, you won’t be able to get a price match afterward.
If you have a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon at checkout, the associate will apply the price match OR the coupon — whichever gets you the lowest price.
6. You CAN use manufacturer coupons on a price match item.
Heck yeah! KCL loves stacking manufacturer coupons with other deals and discounts, so we’re all about this part of the policy. Even though Bed Bath & Beyond coupons won’t work for price matches, you can use a manufacturer coupon to get the price match plus coupon savings.
The coupon has to be a legit manufacturer coupon and not a store coupon from a Bed Bath & Beyond competitor, though. If you can’t tell the difference, just take a quick look at the coupon to find out. Manufacturer coupons are always labeled as such, so the coupon will read “MFR Coupon” or “Manufacturer’s Coupon” if it is one.

7. They won’t adjust prices on clearance, closeout, or seasonal items.
Items with lingo like “limited quantity” or “while supplies last” won’t qualify for a price match. These are basically all your closeout and final sale items, which are usually marked with a yellow clearance sign in Bed Bath & Beyond stores.
Price matches won’t work for seasonal items or promotional events, either (think: Bed Bath & Beyond Black Friday). The good news? Most of these items are already marked down for the sale event, so getting a price match won’t be as important.
8. Bed Bath & Beyond also matches BedBathandBeyond.com prices in store.
It’s unclear why Bed Bath & Beyond’s prices would be different online, but it’s good to know that they’ll price match any discrepancies. Before you check out in store, quickly check online prices at BedBathAndBeyond.com to make sure they’re the same. If you see a lower price on their website, you can request a price match at the register.
