Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is an annual 48-hour event with thousands of deals for Prime members.
About three months after the summer Prime Day sale, Amazon hosts another 48-hour event to unofficially kick off the holiday shopping season. During this sale — which is exclusive to Amazon Prime members — there are thousands of discounts across tons of different products, including Amazon Echo devices, Apple AirPods, TVs, smartphones, robot vacuums, and mattresses.
In 2024, top deals included up to 55% off Amazon devices, up to 50% off Dyson vacuums and KitchenAid products, up to 40% off electronics from brands like Bose and Samsung, up to 40% off Apple products, and up to 60% on toys.
And just like with July's Prime Day sale, the deals are available only to shoppers with an Amazon Prime membership. Not a Prime Member? You can sign up for a free trial and get all the regular Prime member benefits, including exclusive deals. Just be sure to cancel your membership before it automatically signs you up at the end of the trial.

How do we make our prediction?
Amazon has consistently scheduled their October Prime Day to begin on the second Tuesday of October. That points to Oct. 14 as the 2025 start date. Even in 2024, when Amazon moved their July Prime Day event a week later, they still held Prime Big Deal Days on the second Tuesday and Wednesday in October.
These are the dates of all past October Prime Day events (notice the consistent second-Tuesday-of-October timing):
2022: Oct. 11 - 12 (the sale was called Prime Early Access that year)
2023: Oct. 10 - 11
2024: Oct. 8 - 9
What is Prime Big Deal Days vs. Prime Day?
Don’t get the two Amazon sales confused, as they take place at different times of the year. The Prime Big Deal Days sale happens in October, while Amazon's Prime Day Sale happens in July.
Other stores compete with Amazon Prime's October Big Deal Days.
Many other stores piggyback on the success of Amazon’s Fall Prime Sale every year, and 2024 is no exception. Target Circle Week, and the Walmart's Holiday Deals event, for example), fall right on top of October Prime Day.
