Even though Bed Bath & Beyond stopped accepting coupons on April 26, 2023, because their liquidation sales began, don’t toss out those seemingly useless Bed Bath & Beyond coupons just yet. Stores are coming out of the woodwork to accept those coupons!
Big Lots, The Container Store, Joann , and Kirkland’s Home just announced they’ll accept your 20% off Bed Bath & Beyond coupons and apply them to in-store purchases. (If you’re around the Philly area, department store Boscov’s will also accept your coupons.)
So how does this Bed Bath & Beyond coupon hack work? And will these stores accept expired coupons like Bed Bath & Beyond always did? Here’s what you need to know about Big Lots, The Container Store, Joann, and Kirkland’s Home accepting Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, now that BB&B no longer accepts them as of April 26, 2023.

1. Big Lots will accept any Bed Bath & Beyond coupon — even expired ones — through May 7.
Big Lots will accept Bed Bath & Beyond 20% off coupons between April 27 and May 7, 2023. And that’s ALL coupons, according to their press release — even expired ones.
There are a couple of stipulations, though. First, to use the coupon, you have to make a purchase of $50 or more. And second, you have to be a member of Big Lots Rewards. (If you aren’t, no worries — you can sign up here.)

Note: When we called our local Big Lots, the employees weren’t aware they were accepting expired coupons, so direct them to the press release if you get any pushback.
2. The Container Store accepts expired — and unexpired — Bed Bath & Beyond coupons from now until May 31, 2023.
The Container Store announced Wednesday, April 26, 2023, you can bring your Bed Bath & Beyond coupons in-store and they’ll be accepted through the end of May 2023. So don’t toss those infamous blue coupons yet. This includes unexpired coupons and expired coupons!
3. Joann will accept your Bed Bath & Beyond coupons until their expiration date.
If you have unexpired Bed Bath and Beyond coupons you can now use them at Joann. On April 30, 2023, they announced they’ll accept one 20% off a single item BBB coupon on one regularly priced item. There is no minimum spend, and you can use as many as you have providing they’re still valid and you have enough items per coupons. Joann will accept Bed Bath and Beyond coupons until the BBB coupon expiration date.
4. Kirkland’s Home will accept unexpired Bed Bath & Beyond coupons for 20% off a single item.

Through May 31, if you shop in-store at one of the 430+ Kirkland’s Home locations, you can use your not-yet-expired Bed Bath & Beyond 20% off coupon. Now, each coupon will apply to one item — not your entire purchase — so you’ll have to be strategic about it. You could use it to get one of those Anthropologie mirror lookalikes!
They won’t accept expired BB&B coupons.
5. Your Bed Bath & Beyond coupons will only work for in-store purchases at Big Lots, The Container Store, Joann, and Kirkland’s.
You must present your physical or digital Bed Bath & Beyond coupons during checkout in store only. So that also means The Container Store won’t let you use any Bed Bath & Beyond coupons for pickup orders, as you can only use the coupons in store. You also can’t use your Bed Bath & Beyond coupons for online purchases at BigLots.com, TheContainerStore.com, Joann.com, or Kirklands.com.

6. Save 20% on a single item at The Container Store or Kirkland’s with a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon.
According to a rep at The Container Store, they’ll only honor the 20% off a single item coupon. You can’t use it on your entire purchase (like the coupon says). Same goes for Kirkland’s Home.
You can use as many as you want until May 31, 2023; just know that you must have enough items for the number of BB&B coupons you have.
7. You can’t use BB&B coupons with any other discounts at participating stores, and beware of brand exclusions.
You can’t combine Bed Bath & Beyond coupons with any other discount or sale price offered by Big Lots, Kirkland’s Home, The Container Store (like The Container Store’s BOGO 50% off sale happening now), and Joann (view Joann’s exclusion list here). The Container Store will just give you the better value between two or more offers.
The Container Store also shared the list of brands they won’t accept your leftover Bed Bath & Beyond coupons for:
- Avera
- Caraway
- Gladiator
- Hatch
- Keurig
- Lomi
- Preston
You also can’t use Bed Bath & Beyond coupons on gift cards, shipping fees, delivery, installation, in-home organizing services, or previously purchased items.
TIP: Two of the excluded brands (Hatch and Keurig) are also sold at Bed Bath & Beyond. So if you can still find them in stock during liquidation sales, you might get an even better deal than 20% off!
8. Boscov’s will accept mailed Bed Bath & Beyond coupons for $10 off any one purchase of $50 or more.
If you’re in Pennsylvania, Boscov’s has locations near Philly, and at the Lehigh Valley and Palmer Park malls. They announced that they will exchange mailed coupons for $10 off any one purchase of $50 or more until May 31.
