Plus, Aldi has weekly deals that can save you hundreds of dollars every month. But did you know that Aldi has an app that makes saving money even easier?
The Aldi app is a great place to find weekly saving opportunities, discounts on food, and more. Ahead, I’m going to break down everything you need to know about the Aldi app — the pros and the cons — so you can save money every time you shop.

Pros of the Aldi App:
1. The Aldi App posts exclusive deals each week.
If there’s only one reason to get the Aldi app, it’s to find exclusive deals each week. Here’s how to access these deals:
- Open the Aldi app (iOS / Android) and head to the section where it says “Featured.”
- Select “Weekly Ads.”
- Enter your zip code and select the closest Aldi store.
- Browse all the weekly discounts offered at that location.
These discounts can save you money on in-store purchases. Plus, if you find a great deal like a discount on avocados, you can save it to your shopping list so you don’t forget. It helps keep the latest Aldi deals right where you can see them.

2. The Aldi app is very user-friendly.
If you’re not the most tech-savvy person, no fear. The Aldi app is super easy to use. Once you download it, you can immediately see weekly deals, new products, stores near you, and more with the app. Plus, you can create a shopping list in the app, which you can reference while you shop. You can even check things off of your shopping list once you pick them up.
3. You can create shopping lists.
Shopping lists within the Aldi app are super helpful since they ensure you don’t forget anything when you’re shopping.
To use this feature, open the app and go to the “Shopping List” section. Then add the names of the products. You can also type in the price of the item if you know it. (If you have a grocery budget, this tool is helpful to make sure you don’t go over your budget.) Tap “Add Product” and type in what you need as well as the price. Once you’ve made your shopping list, you can check off the items you pick up while you’re at the store.
4. You can get in-depth product information.
One cool feature of the Aldi app is that you can use it to scan QR codes on products in stores. So say you wanted more information about a box of cereal in the Aldi store. Instead of tracking down a sales associate, you can simply open the app, go to the “Feature” section, and find where it says “QR Code Reader.” From here, simply scan the QR code on the product you want to learn more about. All of the information you need will pop up in the app.
5. You can check out new weekly products.
With the Aldi app, you can learn more about new products that have just hit the stores. Just go to the “Featured” section and look where it says “This Week’s Aldi Finds.” Here you can see new products the Aldi team is excited about — and all the latest Aldi dupes. It also lists the products’ prices and more details. You can add these finds to your shopping list, too.
6. You can see upcoming product launches.
Similar to the weekly products section, the Aldi app also offers a section where you can see new products that are launching in the future. To access this, go to the “Featured” section and then find where it says “Upcoming Aldi Finds.” Here, you will be able to see products that will be available at Aldi in the coming weeks and even months.
Cons of the Aldi app:
1. You won’t find rewards in the Aldi app.
Some brands offer rewards for people who use their app. (Places like Starbucks offer rewards for app users where they can score free food and drinks.) Unfortunately, the Aldi app doesn’t offer rewards for app users. We guess this is because their products are already heavily discounted. Either way, the app does have discounts that everyone can shop for.

2. You can’t order groceries for delivery or pickup on the app.
Although there’s a section within the app that says “Grocery Delivery & Customer Pickup,” you can’t actually order groceries for delivery or pickup within their app. Instead, the app redirects you to the Aldi website.
To order Aldi pickup or delivery once you’re on the website, just type in your zip code and start shopping.
