If you live near a Menards store, you’ve had the chance to double up on home improvement rebates. And by that I mean you could save with both Menards’ 11% rebate and Home Depot’s 11% rebate. But most shoppers don’t know that Home Depot secretly stopped offering their 11% rebate in 2024.
Just last year, the 11% rebate was one of our favorite Home Depot shopping hacks. You could claim the rebate on items like snowblowers, paint, and even Halloween decor.
But we recently discovered it’s a thing of the past.
Don’t worry, though — we compiled a list of all the Home Depot discounts available in 2024. Here, I’ll walk you through what we know about Home Depot’s 11% rebate and where it’s still available. Plus, I’ve listed a few tips for other ways to score Home Depot deals with rebates.

What happened to the Home Depot 11% rebate?
As of 2024, Home Depot no longer offers the 11% rebate. Previously, shoppers in select states could claim the 11% rebate on Home Depot purchases in stores. But according to the official Home Depot 11 Percent Rebate site, they stopped accepting submissions at the start of 2024.
The whole point of the rebate was to compete with Menards, but even they’ve scaled back on their 11% rebate in recent years. This could be why Home Depot felt less pressure to continue it, especially since Lowe’s doesn’t offer the 11% rebate anymore, either.
We haven’t been able to confirm whether Home Depot’s 11% rebate will return in the future. In a recent 2024 earnings call, Home Depot said they plan to focus on other programs, like their Pro Xtra membership.
How to Get the 11% Rebate at Menards
The Menards 11% rebate is still available, just not as often as it once was. During the pandemic, Menards made their rebate available all the time, like a permanent sale. But when things started normalizing, they went back to their limited-time rebate schedule.
The best way to see if you can get the 11% rebate is to check the Menards weekly ad. You can only get the rebate on in-store purchases — not on Menards.com. After you make a purchase, print out the form from their online rebate center and mail in your rebate before your receipt expires. You’ll get a gift check in the mail six to eight weeks later, which you can use on a future Menards purchase.
Keep in mind — you’re less likely to see the 11% rebate between Menards Black Friday and mid-February. But it’s usually available for at least one or two weeks per month during the spring and summer.
11% Rebate Exclusions
The 11% rebate applies to most Menards purchases. But it has limits you’ll want to know about. Here’s a list of exclusions for the 11% rebate at Menards:
Event tickets
Extended service agreements
Gift cards
Items you returned
Minute Key purchases
Packing fees
Processing fees
Propane
Purchases made with a coupon
Rental items
Shipping, handling, and delivery fees
Home Depot Rebates You Can Still Get
Even without Home Depot's 11% rebate, you have other options. Here are a few more ways to score rebate savings at Home Depot:
Save up to 4% at Home Depot with Ibotta rebates.
When you download the Ibotta app, you get access to rebates at thousands of stores — including Home Depot.
When you shop for certain items on HomeDepot.com, you’ll typically find rebates for up to 4% back. If you’re shopping in-store, rebates can offer $0.25 – $15 in savings per item.
To claim your Ibotta rebates at Home Depot, add the rebate offer to your Ibotta account before you shop. Then, take a picture of your receipt and upload it to the Ibotta app within seven days.
Most Ibotta credits appear in your account the same day, but some take up to a week to process.
Check the Home Depot Rebate Center for instant offers.
The Home Depot Rebate Center has a ton of rebate offers on items like appliances and smart home devices. You’ll want to keep a few things in mind, though.
At first glance, it looks like Home Depot gives you thousands of dollars in rebates when you buy just one item. But that’s rarely the case.
Most of the thousand-dollar rebates come from manufacturers and only apply to bundle purchases. So, most require you to buy four to six appliances from the same brand to qualify.
But other offers in the Rebate Center come directly from Home Depot. And while they won’t save you thousands, you won’t always have to spend thousands to qualify. To find these rebates, filter your search by “Instant” offers.
For example, when I recently searched for instant rebate offers in my ZIP code (32720), I found that Home Depot offers a $100 instant rebate if you purchase an Electrolux gas dryer with a gas washer (the set is on sale for $1,796). Plus, I'm eligible to apply for an additional $100 rebate through my local utility company. That's a potential savings of 11% right there.
