The best deals we found on Amazon devices usually happen on Prime Day or Black Friday. In October for Prime Big Deals Days, for example, you could save up to 67% on Echo Dots, Ring doorbells, and other electronics.

But if you missed those sales, you can still find some pretty good Amazon device deals year-round. Even right now, you can save up to 66% on devices, which is one of the better discounts weā€™ve seen.

These sales happen randomly throughout the year, so weā€™ll keep this page updated as deals go live. Here are the best Amazon device deals to shop now, plus my favorite money-saving tips like when to shop, where to look for deals, and other hidden discounts.

Alexa does it all: Music, quick Google searches, and even sending you a free sample. Sheā€™s even got a sense of humor. And if you shop on Alexaā€™s birthday, there are some pretty good sales too.

Amazon Device Deals on Kindles and Tablets

a teen reading on a kindle at the table

I love physical books just as much as the next person, but you canā€™t deny how convenient an Amazon Kindle is when traveling. Theyā€™re lightweight, compact, and donā€™t require a separate book light. And, if you take advantage of Stuff Your Kindle Day, you donā€™t have to worry about spending a ton on eBooks. No Kindles are on sale at the moment, but weā€™ll update this page with deals as soon as they are.

You can shop these tablet deals now:

How to Score the Best Amazon Device Deals

1. Shop during sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday for best-of-the-year prices.

The absolute best time to shop for Amazon devices is during Black Friday. Prime Day is a close second. Prices are pretty similar, but Black Friday has slightly lower prices.

To illustrate this point letā€™s compare Echo deals during Prime Day 2023 to Echo deals during Black Friday. The Echo Show 15 was on sale during both of those shopping events. Its list price is a whopping $279.98. During July Prime Day, it sold for $181.98, or 35% off. During Black Friday 2022 it sold for $169.99, or 39% off. Itā€™s only about a $12 difference, but why would you want to pay $12 more if you donā€™t have to?

2. Shop Woot to get clearance prices on Amazon devices.

In case you didnā€™t already know, Woot is an Amazon-owned site thatā€™s basically a massive online clearance section. Some items on there are even discounted by as much as 89% off. And while stock is constantly changing, weā€™ve seen plenty of Amazon devices available in the past.

For example, in July 2023 Woot sold a refurbished Echo 4th Gen. for just $39.99. Thatā€™s 60% off the list price of $99.99 for a new Echo 4th Gen. And if youā€™re worried about the quality of a refurbished device, the damages are solely cosmetic. Woot guarantees that ā€œthese units have been tested and verified by Amazon to be fully functionalā€, which checks out given itā€™s an Amazon-owned brand.

3. Trade in old Amazon devices to save money on your new device purchases.

If youā€™re looking to upgrade to the latest version of your preferred device, you can get a pretty good deal by trading in your older model. You can get a gift card for the trade-in value, plus a nice discount on your next purchase. Weā€™re talking between 20% and 25%. Learn more about stacking trade-in deals here.

4. Get up to 62% off when you buy bundles instead of ordering devices separately.

If youā€™re in the market for multiple devices, consider buying a bundle of different Amazon devices. For example, letā€™s look at the Blink Outdoor camera. You can get one camera for $99.99, but if you buy two the price per camera goes down to $89.99. If you buy a three-pack, you pay $83.33 each.

Keep an eye out for multi-device bundle deals during Prime Week and Black Friday. Last Prime Day, we saw the Ring Video Doorbell Wired Bundle with Echo Pop sell for $39.99 or (62% Off).

5. Amazon promotional credits can be stacked with other discounts; use ā€™em when theyā€™re available.

There are so many ways you can earn Amazon promo credits to put toward your next big tech purchase. Itā€™s also really common for Amazon to offer additional ways to earn promo credits during Prime Day.

In July 2023, shoppers could get $5 in promo credits when they bought a $50 gift card, and an additional $10 in promo credits when they refilled that gift card with $100. So youā€™re getting a $165 gift card for only $150. By using that gift card to pay for your preferred device, you save $15.

6. Other retailers sell Amazon products, and sometimes they have better deals than Amazon.

While generally speaking you can anticipate Amazon will have the best deals on their devices, there are plenty of other retailers that sell those same products. You can find popular devices at Kohlā€™s, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart, just to name a few.

Why choose one of these retailers? Well, if you have a lot of rewards saved up (like Target Circle earnings or Kohlā€™s Cash) itā€™s worthwhile to put them to use. And sometimes there are actually better deals at different retailers. At the very least some stores will price match Amazon. If you can get the item for the same base price at a retailer you have rewards with, those rewards savings will give you a better deal overall.
