Valentine’s Day is such a fun holiday for kids. It creeps up at just the right time after December festivities when we’re itching to get excited for another holiday. Bee Mine Round Valentine’s Day Box
Everyone will be buzzing over this little Bee Mine Valentine box. This one is great for all ages, and another bonus is that you can upcycle an empty oatmeal can to make it.
What you’ll need:
- Cylinder Container (like an Oatmeal can)
- Yellow, Black & White Construction Paper
- Googly Eyes
- Pipe Cleaners
Directions:
- Glue yellow paper on the main body and then glue cut strips on black paper to create stripes.
- Cut white paper into a large heart and then in half. Glue the pieces to the back to make wings.
- Then cut a large slot into the lid for valentines to go inside. Next add black paper to the rest of the lid.
- Add googly eyes, pipe cleaner for antennas, and any other embellishments, like hearts, to make the design your own!

Lego Valentine’s Day Box
If your little one is a builder, this Lego box is perfect to show off their favorite hobby. The supplies for this one are super simple and easy to find. Plus, you can let your kid pick their favorite Lego color!
What you’ll need:
- Rectangular box
- Vinyl paper in any primary color
- 4 – 6 plastic cups
Directions:
- Cut a large slit in the top of the box for valentines to fit through.
- Cover a box with any solid color vinyl paper.
- Cut down the plastic cups and cover them with the same vinyl.
- Glue the cups to the top to look like a Lego block.

Let’s Taco Bout Love Valentine’s Day Box
For a fun Valentine’s Day fiesta, this taco V-Day box looks good enough to eat. If you’ve got a large enough Amazon box lying around, it would be perfect to create the taco shell shape.
What you’ll need:
- Sheet of cardboard
- Tissue paper in white, green, red, orange/yellow
- Brown paper bag
- Yellow poster board
Directions:
- Cut the cardboard into two round halves and two long rectangular pieces.
- Glue pieces together to create a taco shape, leaving the top open for valentines.
- Cover the front and back taco pieces with yellow construction paper to create the shell.
- Cut up shreds of tissue paper in yellow, green, and red to create taco toppings.
- Bunch up some white tissue paper to create the sour cream.
- Rip a brown paper bag and roll it into ball crumbles to make taco meat.
- Take the taco topping elements and glue them into the side areas to cover the exposed cardboard.

Pretty Valentine’s Day Mailbox
This one is fancy and fabulous. If your little one loves flowers and everything pink, we’ve got a Valentine’s Day mailbox for you. It just requires a pre-made mini-mailbox and a simple candleholder to take it up a notch.

Starbucks Frappuccino Valentine’s Day Box
Calling all our little Starbucks lovers! This box is shaped like a kid-favorite frappuccino. We do admit this one has the most supplies out of any of the boxes, but it is still really easy to put together. You can find everything at the dollar store.
What you’ll need:
- Small bucket
- Tissue paper pom-pom
- Paper bowl
- Empty paper towel holder
- A printout of the free Be Mine printable (link below)
- Vinyl paper or colored paper
Directions:
- Cover the bucket or container with any color of paper vinyl.
- Cut out and glue the Be Mine drink logo: Be Mine Printable.
- Fluff the tissue paper pom-pom halfway. Glue to a paper bowl and cut a pie-shaped slice out of the back.
- Cover an empty paper towel roll with another piece of vinyl to create a straw. Then glue the straw inside the tissue paper bowl.
- Place the bowl inside the bucket to create a cup.

Crazy Eyed Monster Valentine’s Day Box
This design is a super simple and scary monster using just a couple of affordable supplies. Make this monster in your kid’s favorite color or even add eyelashes if your child prefers a lady monster.
What you’ll need:
- Empty tissue box
- Colored construction paper
- Pipe cleaners
Directions:
- Cover the tissue box with any paper (vinyl is the easiest).
- Cut white paper into two strips of teeth and glue them inside the opening for a mouth.
- Add layered cut pieces of paper to pipe cleaners to create eyes (add as many eyes as desired).
- Stick the pipe cleaners through the top of the box and secure them with glue.

Pretty Unicorn Valentine’s Day Box
What you’ll need:
- Square box
- Birthday cone hat
- Colored wrapping paper
- Curling ribbon
Directions:
- Cover any square box with fun wrapping paper and leave an opening at the top.
- Draw on unicorn eyes.
- Glue a birthday party hat or paper cone on top for a horn.
- Add curling ribbon for mane hair.
- Decorate with fun stickers or flowers to personalize the unicorn.
Kissing Booth Valentine’s Day Box
Offer up some treats in exchange for valentines with this Kissing Booth box. Kids can snag a Hershey’s Kiss or other small candy after they drop their valentine in the slot.
What you’ll need:
- Kissing Booth sign
- Wood box
- Empty tissue or Ziploc bag box
- Stickers and other decor
Directions:
- Glue your homemade kissing booth sign onto one of the inner sides of the wooden box.
- Cover the empty tissue box with wrapping paper or paper vinyl, leaving the slot open.
- Glue the covered tissue box to the back of the kissing booth sign and wood box.
- Decorate the wood box.
- Add candy to the front of your Valentine’s Day box for others to take and enjoy.

Cupcake Valentine’s Day Box
This cupcake box uses a simple bucket and tissue paper pom-pom. You can reuse the bucket for other crafts, too! Remember to leave a slit cut in the back for a place to put the valentines.
What you’ll need:
- Decorative bucket
- Tissue paper pom-pom
- Round pie tin container
- Little heart stickers and pipe cleaners or a little ball ornament
- Ribbon (Optional)
Directions
- Fluff the tissue paper pom-pom in half and glue it to the round tin.
- Cut the tin to leave an opening in the back.
- Add ribbons around the base of the bucket (optional).
- Create a cherry with two red stickers and a pipe cleaner.
- Stack all of the pieces together to form a cupcake.

Bowl of Popcorn Valentine’s Day Box
Use real popcorn to decorate this Valentine’s Day box! The popcorn is glued down so it’s inedible, but you can definitely hand out some goodie bags of the real stuff to your Valentine for a delicious non-candy treat.
What you’ll need:
- Popcorn box or container
- Popcorn
- Round tin or bowl container
- Hot glue
- Optional: Clear coat paint
Directions:
- Glue the round tin into the popcorn container.
- Cut open a rectangle slot on top.
- Glue some cooled popcorn onto the top of the tin.
- Pro tip: spray the popcorn with a clear coat to secure it and add a glaze.
