Ever dreamed of watching your favorite movie on the big screen with just your family and some loved ones? Well, now you can make that dream a reality. Due to the pandemic, theaters like AMC are allowing customers to rent out entire auditoriums to enjoy a night of cinema and concessions.
To make your visit safe, AMC enforces standard COVID-19 safety policies throughout the theater. If you don’t have a mask, you can purchase one for just $1.
You can rent an entire AMC auditorium for just $99.
That’s right. You can rent an AMC auditorium for yourself or host a private party of up to 20 people for $99.
You must book and pay at least seven days in advance.
Due to popular demand, AMC is booking up fast. Current availability for showings are 10 days out and require payment at least seven days out to secure a showing. Once you’ve submitted a film and viewing time online, you can’t change it. No outside food or drink is allowed, but AMC is still offering movie theater concessions with plans to expand their menu soon.
You can personalize your visit for a fee.
Before your movie starts, you’ll have the standard 15 minutes of access to the auditorium. This is typically when you see trailers for upcoming movies, but AMC will let you personalize that 15 minutes (or lengthen it) if you like.
For instance, you can rent a microphone for $100 or purchase additional time for $250 per half hour. You can also inquire about featuring a special welcome slide for your guests for a higher rate (AMC doesn’t disclose this rate on their site).
If you’re interested in lengthening or personalizing your visit, contact AMC’s rentals department.
You must cancel one week in advance to get a full refund.
Cancellations or changes must be submitted to BookYourGroup@AMCTheatres.com one full week prior to your showtime to get a full refund. If you cancel less than a week away, you’ll pay a 50% cancellation fee.
