2. But is this 2023 Disney cruise deal really that great?
If you already plan on booking a cruise, this Disney Cruise Line deal will definitely save you money — sometimes in the thousands. When they first announced this deal on Disney Plus Day — the annual celebration of Disney’s streaming service that happened on Sept. 8, 2022 — the savings honestly weren’t that great. But since that time, Disney has really stepped it up for the Plus Subscribers to make the savings worth it.
As an example, I came across a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise departing from Miami with a Verandah room. With the Disney Plus discount, the cost for the first and second adults was $2,043.72 each, and the third and fourth guests sailed for free. The total cost — including taxes, fees, and port expenses — came out to $4,749.68.
Without the Disney Plus discount, the same cruise would have cost two adults $2,043.72 each and two children $1,128.96 each. The total cost, including taxes, fees, and port expenses, would have been $7,007.60. This means that the Disney Plus discount would save you $2,257.92 in this case.
3. The verdict: Signing up for Disney Plus is worth it to get the cruise discount.
If you’re planning on booking a cruise anyway, signing up for a monthly subscription to Disney Plus (reg. $7.99 per month) is definitely worth it. The savings will pay for your yearly Disney Plus subscription, and then some. We were able to get this deal by being monthly paid Disney Plus members, too.
4. Here’s how to find which cruises are included in their deals.
Here’s how to quickly find which sailings are eligible for Disney Cruise deals:
Go to the Disney Cruise Line website.
Select “Show Special Offer Filters” on the right-hand side.
Choose the Disney Cruise discount offer you’d like to view.
From there, you’ll be able to filter by departure date, destination, embarkation port, and more.
To see the cruise deal for Disney Plus subscribers, you’ll need to sign in using the email associated with your subscription, and then book online. You can also book by calling (800) 951-3532.
5. The Disney Cruise military discount can save you up to 8% on select sailings.
Disney Cruise Line offers special military discounts for all retired and active U.S. military personnel and their spouses. You’ll need to show proof of military service to receive your special military rate.
Only select Disney Cruises will qualify for the military discount. To see which cruises currently offer the discount, check the list at the bottom of their Military Rates page. Military discounts on Disney cruises typically become available 30 to 60 days before the ship sets sail. Disney also limits each cruise to only 50 staterooms per discount category for booking.
Here are some of the Disney Cruise military discount deals we found:
