World Market has everything you can think of for your home — even down to the snacks. They’re known for their furniture, unique decor, and food. If you’ve ever shopped at World Market, you know how easy it is to walk out with a new set of highball glasses, a headboard, lavender rosemary bath salts, and international candy, all in the same trip. It’s also pretty easy to spend more than you’d think … that’s why we figured out the best ways to save money on your shopping trip, even without a World Market sale.
From the freebies you get with World Market Rewards to the epic World Market Scavenger Hunts they host each year, you’re going to want to shop at World Market after reading this, especially if you don’t know much about shopping at World Market already.
Here’s how to save more so you never have to wait for a World Market sale:

1. Join the World Market Rewards program for 15% off your first purchase.
If you’re wanting all the World Market coupons your heart desires, your first step is to become a World Market Rewards member. You can sign up in your local store with your phone number or sign up online. Once you’re all registered, you’ll receive a 15% off welcome coupon for your first purchase.
World Market Reward Members get:
- Exclusive discounts, including $5 back on every $200 spent
- 10% off all curbside pickup orders
- A birthday offer
- Free gifts via text messages and/or email
2. Sign up for text alerts to receive World Market coupons.
I know what you’re thinking. You’ve got so many text alerts already coming in, but this is one you’ll want. World Market is known for sending out free gifts through text messages. In November 2022, there was a World Market coupon good for a free snowflake cookie cutter with an in-store purchase.
You can opt in to get their texts when you become a World Market Rewards member, or you can text REWARDS to 95730. Plus, with their texts, you’ll get notified first of special sales and events.
3. Save more on wine with World Market Member pricing.
World Market Members get special pricing on wine. For example, this bottle of Mano’s Artisan Cabernet Sauvignon is just $20.99 for members but $26.99 for everyone else. That’s a $6 savings that you’ll get from a completely free membership. No need to wait for a World Market sale — these prices are valid all the time.

4. Look for food on clearance up to 55% off.
No one wants to spend money on a new food item that they end up not liking. But with the wide variety of food goodies at World Market, it’s hard to resist trying a few. As food items approach their expiration dates, they get marked 55% off, which is the lowest markdown you’ll ever see. This is a great way to try out new items for cheap.
5. Clearance items have a red or orange tag and a price that ends in 8.
Sadly, there’s no designated clearance section in the store, so keep your eyes peeled for the red stickers. Once an item is marked on clearance, expect it to remain at that price for about a month before it drops in price again. Second markdowns on the same product are infrequent, though.
You can also shop for World Market’s clearance online. You can save up to 50% on wall art, decor, candles, jewelry, bowls, and more. There are even clearance products you can choose to pick up in store! Now that’s easy clearance shopping.

6. Ask for a price adjustment within 10 days of shopping.
World Market offers a price adjustment if the price of an item dropped within 10 days of your original purchase. Keep in mind that you can’t price-adjust clearance items or holiday merchandise, though.
Depending on your local store, they’ll price match WorldMarket.com but not competitors. While the price adjustment policy isn’t written in stone, my local store manager said they would price match the World Market website.
If you forget to use a reward or a 15% off coupon when you make your purchase, you have seven days to go back in store to get the price adjusted.
7. Don’t buy party supplies from World Market.
Skip the colored or themed napkins, plates, birthday cards, wrapping paper, and bags. You can find them much cheaper at a local Dollar Tree or Walmart.
8. Get cash back from Ibotta when shopping in store.
Search “World Market” in the Ibotta app to find product rebates like $0.10 back on any brand of tequila or $1 back on Remedy Kombucha. Upload a photo of your World Market receipt after you shop and the rebate will get credited to your account.
9. Ask for a “manager’s discount” if an item isn’t perfect.
If an item you’re eyeing has a blemish or appears slightly damaged, ask for a manager’s discount, which is typically 15% off. It never hurts to ask.
10. If you’re spending less than $49 online, pick up in store for free.
Shipping and handling costs vary with each order. The free shipping minimum is $49 for Rewards members. To avoid paying the shipping fee on smaller purchases, just select “in-store pickup” and visit a store near you. I’ve even seen them offer 10% off for members when you choose store pickup.
11. Get a refund if you’re unhappy within 60 days of purchase.
If you aren’t happy with your product for any reason, World Market will refund the amount within 60 days of purchase. Returns after 60 days of purchase will be issued as store credit.
If you purchased an item online marked as “Online Only,” it can’t be returned to a World Market store location.
12. Look for dupes for Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Anthropologie items.
Listen, we love a good dupe, and World Market is full of them. The key is to check out World Market online or in store with a product in mind. Even without a World Market sale, these prices are lower than in the higher-end stores. Here are a few of the dupes from West Elm we found at World Market.
West Elm Carved Wood Side Table: $279
World Market Tribal Carved Wood Accent Table: $199.99
Total savings: $79.01
Pottery Barn Fairview Upholstered Armchair: $999
World Market Jake Wood Frame Chair: $349.99
Total savings: $649.01
Pottery Barn Austin Tote Basket: $199
World Market Delilah Seagrass Tote Basket With Tassels: $39.99
Total savings: $159.01

13. Receive a 20% discount at World Market if you’re a professional designer.
World Market offers a 20% discount for professional designers. And it’s simple and easy to claim. All you need to do is show your proof of occupation, such as a business card or state business license and photo ID to a store manager.
You’ll receive a 20% World Market Designer Discount Card that you can use at any World Market store. This discount doesn’t combine with other discounts, like the 10% off Buy Online, Pick Up In Store offer.
14. Get a 10% off coupon when you make totally unrelated online returns at World Market.
If you ever shop at online stores like Allbirds, Everlane, Fabletics, or ModCloth and end up needing to return something you bought, I highly suggest you take advantage of the Happy Returns hack.
First, check their website to confirm that a World Market location near you has a Return Bar. Then, take your unwanted item(s) into the store, let the employee scan your Happy Returns QR code, and then get a 10% off World Market coupon right there on the spot.
