1. Charles Shaw (aka “Two Buck Chuck”), 750 mL – $4.49
Back in 2002, Trader Joe’s introduced the Charles Shaw wines at a low price of $1.99. Due to this rock-bottom price, the Charles Shaw wine received the nickname “Two Buck Chuck.” As with everything from 20 years ago, the price has since increased. You’ll find Charles Shaw wine bottles for $4.49 at most Trader Joe’s stores now. The wine is award-winning, so it’s not just a cheap bottle of wine. It’s a tasty cheap bottle of wine.
Charles Shaw wine is made with organic California grapes. It’s available in white zinfandel, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, merlot, shiraz, red wine blend, and cabernet sauvignon. Of the lineup, I find the cabernet sauvignon to have the best flavor profile.
If you’re looking for an even cheaper bottle of wine, Aldi offers their Winking Owl brand for $2.95 for the same size bottle. But it’s not made with organic grapes. So for the extra $1.54, the quality is worth it to grab your cheap wine from Trader Joe’s.

2. Trader Joe’s Brut Rosé French Sparkling Wine, 750 mL – $6.99
This sparkling wine was developed to complement the best-selling Trader Joe’s French Brut Blanc de Blancs. This rosé wine features a proprietary blend of grapes grown on the French coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It has more fruit and body than the Blanc de Blancs.
Other brut rosé wines start at $8.47 at Trader Joe’s, so this one is a bargain.
3. Trader Joe’s Blanc de Blancs Brut, 750 mL – $5.99
Cheap-tasting champagne can ruin a night … but great-tasting champagne with a cheap price — now that’s what I’m talking about. The Trader Joe’s Blanc de Blancs Brut is delightful. It has a floral and fruity taste, with just the right amount of fizz. Pair it with your favorite fruit juice or drink it as is, and you’ll be pretty impressed.
This same wine is priced at $14.99 at Total Wine, and champagne prices start at $14.50 at Aldi. So Trader Joe’s has the best price by a landslide compared with those two!
4. Cecilia Beretta Prosecco Rosé, 750 mL – $10.99
Elevating from the first rosé, this Prosecco rosé is great year-round. It’s crisp and bubbly with a hint of fruity sweetness. You’ll find floral, fruity, and refreshing tastes.
Vivino rated this prosecco rosé as one of the top rosés for the year and also named it the best value for the money for Italian prosecco wines. Comparable rosés start at $12.59 on Vivino, so you’re saving $1.60 per bottle at TJ’s.
5. Pure Bred Cabernet Sauvignon, 750 mL – $7.99
The Pure Bred Cabernet Sauvignon is a fan-favorite top wine at Trader Joe’s. It has a delicious fruity taste without being too sweet, with a little hint of cherry. Bring this to a dinner party and I promise your friends will never guess it was under $10.
According to Vivino, this is the best value for a Californian cabernet sauvignon. Other comparable Californian cabernet sauvignon prices at Total Wine start at $10.99.
6. Espiral Vinho Verde, 750 mL – $4.99
If you’re seeking a Trader Joe’s wine to replace the margaritas on taco night, this is the one to grab. It has a crisp taste with pops of green apple and fragrant melon and originates from a region of Northern Portugal.
This Espiral wine is exclusive to Trader Joe’s, but you can find a similar flavor in Casal Garcia Vinho Verde, available for $5.97 at Total Wine.
7. Maison Barboulot Cabernet Syrah, 750 mL – $7.49
According to Trader Joe’s, this wine just might be one of the finest hidden gems in their entire wine section. It has a smooth and fruity taste with a cherry and vanilla lingering finish.
This wine is sold exclusively at Trader Joe’s, so you won’t find it anywhere else. Other comparable bottles of cabernet syrah can run from $20 up to $99.99 at Total Wine! But Trader Joe’s wins hands down with price.
8. Honey Moon Viognier, 750 mL – $6.99
The Honey Moon is a dangerously refreshing viognier (a type of white wine grape) that’ll make you feel like you’re on your honeymoon. It has a lovely crisp floral and fruity taste of white peach, nectarine, and guava. It pairs nicely with spicy foods since it’s so elegant. Or you can just drink it alone.
The price for viognier at Trader Joe’s is outstanding. Comparable bottles of viognier at Total Wine start at $11.99.
9. Block Red Shiraz, 3L – $12.99
This Australia-based red wine has a bold, semidry flavor. It features ripe blackberry and black currant flavors with hints of fig and oak. And it’s the best boxed shiraz I’ve tried. At $12.99 for three liters of wine … that’s a pretty good deal. The Block box wines come in other varieties as well if shiraz isn’t your thing.
Comparable quality 3-liter box wines at Total Wine start at $16.99.
10. Lovely You Cabernet Sauvignon, 750 mL – $7.99
If you’re looking to still enjoy your wine without the extra sugar, I found the one for you. The Lovely You cabernet sauvignon has no sugar, low alcohol, and isn’t more than 100 calories per serving. But it still tastes great. It has dark, rich fruit with notes of mocha and vanilla and pairs nicely with grilled or roasted meats.
Other low-sugar wines at Total Wine will run you about $11.99 to $17.99 per bottle, making this one a great deal.
