Lowe's Black Friday sale is a multiday sale that kicks off on Thanksgiving (online) for rewards members and on Black Friday for everyone.
While other retailers tend to start their sales a week (or more) before Black Friday, Lowe's starts its Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving. New for this year, though, only MyLowe's Rewards members get that early Thanksgiving online access. Non-members have to wait until Black Friday when deals kick off in stores and online.
Lowe's Black Friday sale spans big-ticket items, like large appliances (Lowe's usually has a buy more, save more offer with up to $1,000 off, depending on how much you spend) and small items (like those in-store-only discounted poinsettias).
KCL confirms the Lowe's Black Friday sale will go live Nov. 28.
Lowe's stores will be closed on Thanksgiving.
Even before the pandemic, Lowe's kept its doors closed on Thanksgiving Day. While the sale technically starts on Thanksgiving, all deals will be online.

Plenty of stores drop their Black Friday ads several weeks before the big day, but Lowe's isn't one of them. Lowe’s tends to drop late, during the week of Black Friday, to align with its usual weekly ad drops, which usually happen on Mondays. So expect a Lowe’s Black Friday ad around Nov. 25.

Lowe's usually runs buy more, save more specials when it comes to appliances. That means instead of just getting discounts on individual machines, you'll get a discount that depends on how much you spend. In 2023, you got $100 off when you spent $800 and up to $1,000 off when you spent $8,000 (with other thresholds in between). These savings stack with any Black Friday discounts on individual appliances.
Lowe's Black Friday doorbuster deals on poinsettias and wreaths will be in stores only.
These days, major retailers tend to offer the same Black Friday deals online and in stores. When it comes to Lowe's, though, there are some deals you'll have to show up bright and early in person to get. In 2023, for example, in-store-only deals included poinsettias (two for $3), live wreaths (two for $20), and live Christmas trees for $47.98.
Lowe's doesn't price match on Black Friday.
Per the Lowe’s price guarantee policy, Black Friday promotions are excluded from price matching. It's not just the day alone that's excluded. All deals labeled as Black Friday deals in the Lowe's Black Friday ad or on its site are excluded, even if you shop for them a few days after Black Friday (remember, Lowe's Black Friday runs a whole week past Black Friday).
Lowe's Cyber Monday is basically a continuation of Black Friday.
There's no separate Lowe's Cyber Monday sale to wait for. Lowe's usually runs a weeklong sale (online and in stores) that starts online only on Thanksgiving and runs online and in stores through the Wednesday after Turkey Day. That means the Lowe's Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale are one and the same. Just keep in mind that some deals (like those fresh wreaths and live poinsettias) are usually available only in stores and only on Black Friday. And don't forget, some of the more popular items might sell out before Cyber Monday rolls around.
