The Bath & Body Works Rewards program gives shoppers the highest value of any national loyalty or rewards program on the market today. And we know rewards programs. Getting 16.5% back in value is not only the best reason to join, but also the best reason to shop. And isn’t that the point? Well played, B&BW.
And as of Aug. 2022, the Bath & Body Works Rewards program is available nationwide. This is huge news, since for a few years prior, the highly coveted program was only available in a select 11 states.
But, wait! In 2023 Bath & Body Works added “accelerator promotions” to the mix. This means during select promotions, rewards members can earn 2x or 3x points on purchases, offering opportunities to earn points and rewards even faster. For example, during the Bath.& Body Works Cyber Monday sale, you could have earned 2x points on all orders.

Now on to the details about the Bath & Body Works Rewards program:
1. Get a freebie worth up to $16.95 when you spend $100.
Members earn 10 points per $1 spent, and once you accumulate 1,000 points, you’ll get a freebie valued at $16.95 or less. (Note that you can’t apply the $16.95 to a higher-priced item, and sale prices aren’t included.)
Lots of aromatherapy items, body creams, and body oils are $16.50; that’s what you want to get to maximize your free reward. Sort by price (high to low) to quickly find items below the $16.95 threshold.
To earn the freebie, you must reach the $100 qualifying spend on your total out-of-pocket expense. That means if you spend $100 and use a $10 off coupon, you won’t quite have earned your first reward.
The B&BW app (iOS / Android) is the easiest way to earn and spend points at Bath & Body Works. You can also access “My Rewards Wallet” when logged in to BathandBodyWorks.com.
2. And get a $10 off $30 coupon just for signing up for the rewards program.
Get a $10 off $30 Bath & Body Works coupon when you join. The coupon is delivered within 72 hours, and it expires 30 days after you receive it. Make sure you sign up for My Bath & Body Rewards at least three days before Black Friday, Candle Day, or the Semi-Annual Sale.
And if you get greedy, remember it’s one coupon per account. I can already see the Bath & Body Works app icon on your partner’s phone …
3. Rewards members get a birthday gift worth up to $9.50.
Get a free birthday item with any Bath & Body Works purchase just for being a member of the Bath & Body Works Rewards program. The birthday reward entitles you to a free body care item with a regular price up to $9.50 (it used to be just $7.50 however they upped the value in 2023). Choose from travel-size hand or body creams, lotions, or shower gels.
The Bath & Body Works birthday freebie reward begins on your actual birthday and is valid for 30 days after.
You must make a purchase in order to redeem the coupon. And the coupon won’t stack with sales. So if travel-size creams are on sale “buy 2, get 1 free,” you would have to buy four items in order to use your free item coupon and still get the free item as part of the “buy 2, get 1 free” sale.
4. The program is now available nationwide.
The Bath & Body Works rewards program has been around since 2019, but it was only available in select ZIP codes. As of Aug. 2022, the program is available nationwide. It was officially announced through the Bath & Body Works app and their Facebook page!
A word of caution: If you signed up for a Bath & Body Works Rewards account in the past using a “borrowed” ZIP code, don’t update your ZIP code in the app just yet. We found that some rewards may disappear if you try to change your ZIP code to one that previously wasn’t part of the program. We expect this is one of the kinks they’re working out.
5. Shop online to earn points.
The Bath & Body Works Rewards program allows you to earn points by shopping in store and online. When you order online, you’ll earn points towards free items. Just shop using the email address registered with your Bath & Body Works Rewards account, and it will automatically give you the points.
6. Everyone can get points for in-store purchases, too.
It’s true. The POS system (point of sale … not the other thing) at Bath & Body Works is smart. When I pay with my credit card, it pulls up my account. My cashier always thanks me by name and lets me know my points have been added to my account. If it doesn’t work that way for you or you’re paying another way, the cashier can take your phone number in order to link your purchase to your rewards account.
In addition to those methods above, you also have the option to open the Bath & Body Works app and show the cashier the barcode in your wallet. My store has horrible reception, so I like to open up my barcode and take a screenshot of it.
7. Redeem your free product rewards in store or online.
Now that the program is available nationwide, everyone can redeem their rewards in store, which is lucky for us because you don’t have to contend with trying to find Bath & Body Works free shipping.
You can redeem your reward for a free item online, too. Or you can even ship or online-order to any store that offers in-store pickup.
Nobody wants to pay the $6.99 shipping charge that accompanies every Bath & Body Works order. Luckily, free item rewards are valid for 90 days after you receive them. That’s likely enough time to stumble across a free shipping code with a 50+ order.
8. Rewards can’t be stacked with sales or promos.
You know I tried. Bath & Body Works’ free item rewards must be used on a product with a retail value of $16.95 or less. This means you can’t buy two $8 items and call it your freebie. You also can’t use three free item rewards on a Buy 3, Get 1 Free sale and get four items for free.
I’m not complaining. Just clarifying. A free product with no purchase required is fine by me.
9. Redeem multiple (up to eight) rewards at once.
If you’ve stockpiled My Bath & Body Rewards points, they’ll let you use up to eight rewards in one transaction (one freebie of up to $16.95 per reward). Make sure you tell the cashier when you’re ready to use your rewards.
Then when you scan your barcode at checkout, the register will automatically apply your available rewards to the highest-priced eligible items.
10. Get early access to Bath & Body Works’ top sales — like Candle Day — every year.
Rewards members get to shop the super-popular Candle Day sale, Body Care Day, and other sales before everyone else. Similar to last year, Rewards members get early access to the Candle Day sale on Dec. 1, 2023, all day in-store and online. The sale opens up to the general public on Dec. 2.
11. Get text alerts with Bath & Body Works sales and coupons.

12. The rewards program will now include ‘accelerator promotions’ in which you can earn either 2x or 3x points on a purchase.
New for 2023, Bath & Body Works introduced accelerator promotions to their rewards programs. This means that during select promotional events they’ll be offering 2x and 3x points on qualifying purchases. So, for example, say you spend $100 at Bath & Body Works, which reaps you 1,000 points and eligible for a reward (free items up to $16.95). During a 2x points promotion, you’d only have to spend $50 to hit 1000 points to get a reward. Pretty exciting stuff.
