1. Substitute the chocolate for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
I always grab a pack or two of Reese’s when I’m planning a s’mores night to give people the option between regular chocolate and something a little different.
You can also try other chocolate like Hershey’s Cookies n’ Creme, Andes Chocolate Mints and Rolos.
2. Use Fudge Stripe cookies instead of graham crackers.
You don’t even need the chocolate bar! Oreos or chocolate chip cookies also work as replacement graham crackers.

3. Put a square of chocolate in the marshmallow before roasting it.
This way your chocolate will be all melty and perfect. Just make sure to off-center the roasting stick so you don’t hit the chocolate.
TIP: Use a Rolo to add something special!
4. Make a s’mores pizza.
You’ll bake the crust first for 12 minutes at 350 degrees, then you’ll put the chocolate chips on top and let them melt. Once they’ve melted, top with marshmallows and stick in the oven to broil for five minutes. The marshmallows should be a nice golden color.
You will need:
- Flour
- Graham cracker crumbs
- Baking soda
- Salt
- Unsalted butter
- Granulated sugar
- Brown sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Semisweet chocolate chips
- Mini marshmallows (of course!)

5. Make a skillet full of s’mores dip.
Pour a bag of chocolate chips into a skillet and put it in the oven preheated to 350 degrees for 3-4 minutes to melt the chocolate. Then, arrange a bag of large marshmallows over the top of the melted chocolate, and stick it back in the oven for 3-4 more minutes.
6. Make a s’mores cocktail.
Shake up 3 ounces of marshmallow-flavored vodka, 1.5 ounces of Godiva chocolate liquor, 3 ounces of half and half (or 2% milk) and a cup of ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a martini glass.
If you want to add a little something special, garnish with marshmallows, and line the glass rim with chocolate syrup and crushed graham crackers.
7. Make s’mores in the oven.
S’mores aren’t only for campfires — you can make them right in your kitchen.
Create your s’mores as usual, but leave the top graham cracker off. Place them on a tray, and put them in the oven preheated to 400 degrees for 3-4 minutes, or until the marshmallow looks golden brown. Remove from the oven, add your top graham cracker, and enjoy!
TIP: You can also do this in a microwave. Leave the top graham cracker off and heat for 15 – 20 seconds or until the marshmallow is golden brown; then add the top graham cracker.
8. Make chocolate-covered strawberries s’mores.
Replace the traditional graham crackers with chocolate ones, and add sliced strawberries to your dessert.
9. Make your own Samoas cookie s’mores with coconut and caramel.
Just replace the chocolate with a drizzle of caramel and a sprinkle of toasted coconut.

Use a biscuit to replace the graham crackers, add strawberries and a chocolate drizzle.
11. Create inside-out s’mores.
Put marshmallows on skewers and dip them in melted chocolate. While the chocolate is still wet, roll the marshmallow in crushed-up graham crackers and let them cool.
12. Make a bowl of s’mores snack mix.
Make your own sweet treat to munch on by mixing mini marshmallows, chocolate chips and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
13. Use Ritz crackers instead of graham crackers to make it sweet and salty.
If you like a nice mixture of salty and sweet, this is perfect for you.
14. Make campfire s’mores in ice cream cones.
Fill sugar cones with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips (or whatever else you like), wrap in aluminum foil, and grill over the campfire for about 7-10 minutes (but keep the cones away from open flames). Unwrap and eat!
