Wootoberfest, the big annual sale from Amazon subsidiary Woot happens every year in early the fall. In previous years, it happened in October, but but in 2024, it ran Sept. 23 - 27 instead.
During Wootoberfest, you can find savings of up to 80% on refurbished items, open-box merch, and even some new items.

Wootoberfest is an annual, 5-day event with deals on new, refurbished, and open-box items.
Wootoberfest, Woot's annual big sale held in the fall, offers incredible savings of up to 80% on new, refurbished, and open-box items. What started as a 4-day companion to the Fall Prime Day Sale is now a nearly weeklong stand-alone event that takes place before Fall Prime Day. Look out for major discounts on Apple tech, Amazon devices, and products from popular brands like Bissell, Shark, Ray-Ban, and Coach, as well as the much-sought-after mystery items in Woot Crap Bags.
Woot also likes to throw interactive, unique events during its sale. The 2024 lineup included $1 deals, the Deal-O-Meter (which lets users vote for discounts), and scavenger hunts (where you look for coupons hidden on Woot's site).
Woot is an Amazon subsidiary that specializes in clearance deals, so what it offers can be unpredictable. But Woot prices can go impressively low.
KCL Predicts Wootoberfest Will Kick Off Sept. 22 in 2025.
We predict Wootoberfest will run Sept. 22-26 in 2025, kicking off on a Monday and running through Friday
How We Made Our Prediction
Woot made the move in 2024 to hold Wootoberfest earlier than its past October timing. That helped it get out in front of those juggernaut early October sales: Prime Big Deal Days, Target Circle Week, and Walmart's Holiday Deals event
We predict Woot will hold to its 2024 timing, meaning the sale will run Sept. 22-26 (Monday to Friday).

Best of Woot
Wootober is heading into its fourth year and offering more name-brand deals.
Since its inception, Wootoberfest has expanded more into name-brand products. These days, you can expect Wootober discounts on brands like Coach, Oakley, Allbirds, Dr. Martens, Cuisinart, and even lululemon. While Woot is known for their refurbished tech, the deals will also include open-box and unused items.
Do you have to be an Amazon Prime Member to shop Wootoberfest deals?
Woot is owned by Amazon. That said, you don’t need to be a Prime member in order to participate in the event as a whole. While you can expect Prime member-exclusive deals during the sales event, there will be plenty of discounts available to all shoppers.
If you have a Prime account, you’ll want to link it, though, because Prime members also get free shipping on all their purchases. If you don’t have Prime, you’ll pay $6 for Woot shipping instead.
How to Score the Best Deals During Wootoberfest
The best Woot deals sell out fast, sometimes in a matter of minutes. And once something sells out, there are no restocks. In a world of Woot or be Wooted, you’ve gotta move quickly. Here are my top tips.
1. Check the schedule and set an alarm.
Luckily, Woot posts a schedule of events, with a brief outline of what to expect as well as start dates and times. Brush up on Woot lingo beforehand. Wootbusters, for example, are door busters (deals available in limited supply for a limited time). For events that you consider can’t-miss, set an alarm.
2. Log in a few minutes before the event starts in case the site gets overloaded.
Woot’s site is notorious for running slowly or not at all when in-demand items drop. To combat these delays, try to log in using your Amazon account at least five to 10 minutes early. The early Wooter gets the deal, so even if the site takes forever to load, you’ll still be ahead of other folks who didn’t plan ahead.
3. Get familiar with the site’s categorization system ahead of time.
Items can sell out in the time it takes to sift through the categorization system. Save precious time by brushing up on the site’s layout beforehand.
Woot has a lot of neat things … except a way to internally search the site using keywords. If you’re looking for a specific product, like an iPad, you can’t just search for the term “iPad.” Instead, you have to navigate using the drop-down menus. The only problem? The drop-down menus aren’t the most intuitive.
For example, there are often 200 or more pages to look through in the “All Deals” tab, so you have to check out more specific categories. However, there are two categories that seem to have some overlap: electronics and computers. It can get a little confusing if you’re looking for something like a tablet that can fit in either category. (Tablets are sorted as computers, not electronics, FYI.)
4. Double-check your default shipping address and payment methods on Amazon ahead of time.
Things can sell out in the time it takes to enter all your info. Make sure your default shipping and payment info is accurate well before the event you’re gunning for starts. I’ve found that when using Amazon Pay through Woot, it initially only shows my default settings. You can change to any of the other saved addresses and payment methods on your account, but that takes time.
