Taco Bell is doing an Eras Tour of their own this fall with their limited-time Decades Menu. They're bringing back five classic menu items — all for under $3 apiece. While the under-$3 price tag sounds promising for 2024 fast food prices, a few items stand out as a better value than others.

The '90s Gordita Supreme and the '70s Green Sauce Burrito stand out to me as the front-runners value-wise. And I think all of my fellow '00s Taco Bell fans can agree that the $2.99 price for a Caramel Apple Empanada is offensive. Sorry TB, I won't be hitting the drive-thru at 1 a.m. for that price.

If you do want to give this new menu a try, wait until Nov. 21 when the Caramel Apple Empanada hits the menu and you can grab one for $1 when you buy all four of the other Decades Menu items. Is it a great deal? Not really. Is it worth it for the nostalgia? Probably.

Here's everything I know about the Taco Bell Decades Menu — including prices and upcoming Taco Bell deals.

What is the Taco Bell Decades Menu?

Taco Bell is bringing back some of their most iconic menu items from the past 50 years in what they're calling the Decades Menu. You'll find four new (but old) classics added to menus on Thursday, Oct. 31 and an additional treat (an empanada) returning on Nov. 21.

This menu is available for a limited time, and based on the dates of the promotions, I think we'll see it run through Dec. 18.

Here's what you can expect with this upcoming Taco Bell menu drop.

'60s Tostada — $2.19

An actual Taco Bell O.G., the Tostada was one of the first six menu items introduced in 1962. It's a hard corn tostada shell, layered with refried beans, red sauce, lettuce, and shredded cheese.

The Tostada was on the Taco Bell menu until 2020 when they streamlined their offerings due to supply chain issues. It was always on the $1 Cravings Menu prior to 2020, though. So they're charging $1 to bring it back to the menu.

'70s Green Sauce Burrito — $2.49

Taco Bell claims that this classic is one of their most hacked menu items. It's a burrito filled with refried beans, onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and a green sauce made with green chili, tomatillos, jalapeño peppers, and spices.

It's basically a classic bean burrito (regularly $2.29) with green sauce instead of red. If people are hacking this thing, I'd say it's worth the extra $0.20 to order it straight from the menu.

'80s Meximelt — $2.99

This favorite from the 1980s has pico de gallo, a blend of three cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey jack) melted with seasoned beef in a tortilla.

You can essentially order a soft beef taco with pico de gallo to re-create this for around $2.59.

'90s Gordita Supreme — $2.99

This was THE hottie of the '90s. A warm flatbread with seasoned beef, sour cream, lettuce, and a blend of three cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar, and monterey jack), topped with tomatoes.

There isn't anything similar to this on the current Taco Bell menu. It was $2.69 in the 90s, so the $0.30 increase is worth bringing it back.

'00s Caramel Apple Empanada — $2.99 (Available Nov. 21)

Okay listen, I wanted to be excited about this. I guess I am excited about it. But $2.99 for a Caramel Apple Empanada is outrageous. I'm old enough to remember when these were $0.89. I realize they're delicious, but I won't be paying 236% more for this when it returns.

For those of you who want to try it — or have been craving it for the past decade — it's a fried empanada filled with apple pieces and a creamy caramel-flavored filling.

You can get the Caramel Apple Empanada for $1 if you buy all four of the O.G. Faves on Nov. 21.

Taco Bell has a Decades Menu deal coming Nov. 21 through Dec. 18. If you buy all four of the O.G. faves, you'll get the Caramel Apple Empanada for just a buck. Cost-wise, this deal kinda stinks. But if you wanted to try these favs for the nostalgia factor, by all means please enjoy that $1 empanada!
