The long weekend of Black Friday through Cyber Monday is like the Super Bowl of shopping, but an after-Black Friday sale is sometimes even better. And there are quite a few holiday shopping days and clearance sales beyond Black Friday and Cyber Monday that are worth paying attention to.

We'll be hunting for deals every day during the last few weeks of the holiday shopping season. Check out all the best deals here, in real time.

Best Big Sales After Black Friday

There are plenty of sales to keep you busy after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. For starters, there are after-Christmas sales and all of their clearance deals, New Year’s sales, white sales in January for bedding, and more. Here are the next best days to shop after Black Friday and Cyber Monday for some impressive deals.

1. Travel Tuesday deals.

The first big obvious shopping day after Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Travel Tuesday. Here are some of the best deals we saw last year:

  • Expedia: 30% off in the app.

  • Priceline: $10 off $100.

  • Frontier Airlines: the 2024 GoWild All-You-Can-Fly annual pass for $499 with free Frontier Miles Silver Elite Status.

  • Jet Blue: took up to $750 off your vacation package when you booked by Nov. 29, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET.

  • Southwest: Southwest came in hot with a 30% discount in their Southwest Cyber Monday flight sale. Booking between Nov. 27 and Nov. 30 got you 30% off base fares with coupon code CYBER30. This coupon was valid on select flights in the continental U.S. between Jan. 9 and March 6, 2024. Select international flights (including Hawaii and Puerto Rico) were valid with the discount from Jan. 9 to May 22, 2024. Blackout dates applied.

2. Bath & Body Works Candle Day on Dec. 1 where 3-wick candles should be $9.95.

While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, we predict based on past data that Candle Day will take place Dec. 1 for Rewards members and Dec. 2 for everyone. During this time, all 3-wick candles will be $9.95 online and in store, a 60% discount. In past years this has been cheaper than we ever saw during Black Friday or Cyber Monday (when all items were 40% off).

3. Free Shipping Day on Dec. 14 for free shipping with no minimums.

Free Shipping Day isn't as much of a thing as it used to be, especially given free and fast shipping from major retailers. Even so, retailers do often have a final sales push right before holiday shipping cutoff. In the past, we’ve seen free shipping deals pop up from Staples, Ann Taylor, Aeropostale, Barnes & Noble, Banana Republic, Bed Bath & Beyond (yes, they’re back), Best Buy, Cabela’s, Carter’s, Dillard’s, Famous Footwear, and GameStop.

Here are some stores that give you free shipping on any day of the year with the right membership level and a minimum spend:

  • Walmart: Walmart+ members always get free shipping on any order, no minimum.

  • Target: free on most items with your RedCard, or if you have Target Circle 360 membership.

  • Amazon: Prime members get free, fast shipping all the time. Everyone else can unlock free shipping on orders of at least $35, but expect it to take at least five days.

  • Sephora: Beauty Insiders get free standard shipping always — no minimum order.

4. Christmas clearance sales through January for holiday decor, clothes, and video games.

We always say that Christmas decorations are some of the best things to stock up on in January. That’s because January is when the after-Christmas sales really hit their peak.

The day-after-Christmas clearance sales will have great price cuts on all the leftover holiday decorations and accessories. The price drops usually start at up to 50% off right after Christmas, then go up to 90% off in the following weeks through January.

And it’s not just seasonal decor that goes on winter clearance either. You’ll also be able to find steep discounts on winter coats, clothes, and video games.

5. New Year’s sales because they overlap with Christmas clearance.

Christmas clearance sales are a whole beast, but New Year’s sales are quite another — even though they often end up running at roughly the same time. These sales run at an eclectic collection of retailers and can happen anywhere from Boxing Day (Dec. 26) to sometime in mid-January.

Some of our favorite New Year’s sales in the past:

6. White Sales in January for bedding and bath items.

There’s a tradition older than Black Friday, and it’s called The White Sale. No, really — it dates all the way back to 1878. A store is said to have coined the term to encourage people to stock up on bed linens after the holidays, and back then, the linens were available only in white.

As for the modern-day White Sales, JCPenney typically offers up to 50% – 80% savings on bedding during their White Sale in January. JCPenney’s Black Friday sales come close on the bedding deals, but there’s a pretty narrow selection.

7. Sales in January and February for TVs.

If you’re looking for a new TV, I’d skip Black Friday altogether and wait for an after-Black Friday sale for better deals leading up to the Big Game.

Black Friday TV deals usually involve off-brand, Black Friday-only TVs, whereas TV deals around the time of the Super Bowl feature higher-quality name brands. These deals also just so happen to occur a week or three after the CES conference every year, where electronic brands release all their new models. With a lot of new inventory coming in, it’s super convenient for retailers to mark down prices on their existing stock.

These are the kinds of after-Black Friday TV deals we saw in January and February last year:

  • Target: $500 off an LG 42-inch Class 4K UHD Smart OLED TV (regularly $1,399.99)

  • Walmart: $903 off an LG 65-inch 4K LED TV (regularly $1,999)

  • Amazon: $402 off a Sony 55-inch 4K Ultra HD TV X90K Series Bravia XR (regularly $1,299.99)

8. Presidents Day sales in February for furniture, mattresses, and baby items.

Retailers like to take advantage of people’s extra day off work and get them shopping with their sales. Presidents’ Day sales are no different.

In 2024, Target’s sale offered 20% off jeans, up to 40% off furniture, and up to $150 off Apple products. And at Macy’s, you could score 65% – 75% off winter coats and up to 75% off rugs during Presidents Day weekend.

9. Memorial Day sales in May for home appliances and beauty products.

Memorial Day is a great weekend to find low-priced home appliances like refrigerators and stoves, small kitchen appliances, lawn games, washer-dryer sets, and even makeup.

Stores like Home Depot have offered up to 60% off large appliances, and Lowe’s has offered up to 45% off select items during this big sale weekend. Be ready by studying our Home Depot hacks and Lowe’s shopping tips.

Here are other Memorial Day deals we’ve seen:

  • Nordstrom: 70% off Felina Lurra Bralette (regularly $30)

  • Sephora: 75% off Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Foundation (regularly $40)

  • Kohl’s: 60% off Men’s Sonoma Goods For Life Everyday Polo (regularly $25)

10. Father’s Day sales in June for grills, golf equipment, tools, and outdoor gear.

Think about all the items on your Father’s Day gift list — those are also the kinds of things that get discounted during Father’s Day sales in June. And if your dad isn’t really the grilling, golfing kind of guy, we’ve seen power tools on sale around Father’s Day too — Walmart, Amazon, and Lowe’s have featured Hart and DeWalt sets for 20% – 50% off.

During past Father’s Day sales, Amazon has offered 42% off the Cuisinart CGS-W13 Wooden Handle Tool Set, while Dick’s Sporting Goods has had sales on golf accessories like 40% off golf clubs. Plus, Dick’s usually runs an online sale the weekend of Father’s Day that can give you anywhere from 50% – 75% off most items.

Sam’s Club also participated in the flurry of Father’s Day deals last year by including 20% off Member’s Mark grills.

11. Amazon Prime Day sales in July and October for smart devices and TVs.

a person reaching for a stack of amazon boxes

The first Amazon Prime Day Sale normally happens over two days in the summer — either in June or July — with the second Prime Day sale taking place over two days in October.

Expect free shipping from third parties on Amazon who normally make you pay, along with discounts galore on Amazon products like Fire tablets, Echo devices, and smart TVs with built-in Amazon Fire TV capabilities.

But that’s not all. The Prime Day sale has become so popular that it’s inspired other Black Friday in July sales from many of Amazon’s competitors. Retailers like Walmart, Kohl’s, and Target want your attention too, which means they’ll compete to have the best deals. Similarly, the October event also produces a flurry of early-October sales, including Target Circle Week and Wootoberfest. Retailers going head-to-head with sales is always a good thing!
