National Frozen Custard Day (not to be confused with National Ice Cream Day or National Frozen Yogurt Day) happens every year on Aug. 8. In 2024, you'll be able to enjoy the holiday with free or discounted ice cream.
In 2023, we saw four offers for National Frozen Custard Day, ranging from completely free to BOGO free.
Frozen custard was created in 1919 by adding more egg yolks to their ice cream to change the texture and keep it frozen for longer. It became popularized in 1933 at the Chicago World’s Fair.
