McDonald’s Shamrock Shake returned to the McDonald's menu on Feb. 5, 2024.
The Shamrock Shake is available every year starting in February and usually sticks around until a week after St. Patrick’s Day. So what is a Shamrock Shake? The McDonald’s Shamrock Shake is a vanilla shake mixed with minty, green Shamrock syrup to create a sweet, minty treat that McDonald's fans love.
This treat made its 2024 debut weeks earlier than ever before on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024. We expect it to be on McDonald's menu through St. Patrick's Day.
Most McDonald’s locations have a limited supply of Shamrock Shake syrup, so they don’t get any more of the product after St. Patrick’s Day, so you'll see it disappear in early March.

Will the Shamrock McFlurry be returning to McDonald's as well?
You bet! The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry also hit menus on Feb. 5, 2024.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Shamrock Shake, McDonald’s released the Shamrock McFlurry in 2020. This frozen treat combines the regular Oreo McFlurry flavor with the Shamrock Shake syrup to create an Oreo-mint McFlurry. This flavor has returned every year since 2020, and we're happy to see it on the menu again this year.
The Shamrock McFlurry costs around $4.69 depending on your location, and it will likely be available through early March, just like the Shamrock Shake. We didn't see as hefty of a price increase on the McFlurry as we did on the shakes this year.
