National Margarita Day is a day of drink specials at restaurants nationwide.

National Margarita Day is the one day a year devoted to the most popular tequila-based cocktail in the U.S., the margarita. On this day, many national restaurants and bars often run special promotions or offer deals on margaritas to celebrate the occasion. Throughout the years we’ve seen lots of discounts on margaritas, special themed cocktails, and even freebies like complimentary chips and salsa with your drink purchase.

National Margarita Day happens every year on Feb. 22.

There’s no special significance to the Feb. 22 date for National Margarita Day, but the all-twos date is one you can always remember — even if you’ve had a few margaritas. In 2025, National Margarita Day will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22.

In 2023, Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant celebrated National Margarita Day with $2 off of Skinny (normally $7.89), Platinum (regularly $8.99), and El Jefe (priced at $11.95) Margaritas. That was a maximum of 25.3% off if you ordered the Skinny Margarita. We always welcome a 25% discount on margaritas, even if that means we have to wait until next February.

We are looking forward to their return next year.

This is just one of the many Applebee’s deals that will help you save money.
