Yep, there are fast food restaurants that accept EBT, but it also depends on the state in which you live. Since the SNAP program (for which the EBT card is used) is managed at the state level, it really varies. While a Burger King in one state might accept EBT, it doesn’t mean the next state over will as well. For example, you’ll see that a lot of the restaurants on our list only accept EBT in Arizona and California. But it’s worth reading through to find the ones that do accept it in your area.
You probably already know that in addition to using your EBT card at grocery stores, you can also use it at certain convenience or drug stores. For example, 7-Eleven, Walgreens, and Dollar General all accept EBT as payment for eligible items (no alcohol, cigarettes, pet food, etc.).
Here’s a list of EBT-friendly fast food restaurants and the states that accept them. If you aren’t in a state where fast food chains accept EBT, we have tips for how you can still save at these establishments. Also, learn how to use your SNAP Food Benefits online!
