You can purchase a boatload of eligible items using your HSA or FSA account in the Amazon HSA store. And, your pre-tax HSA will even cover any tax or shipping fees. It’s super easy, we’ll explain how below.
We’ve rounded up a list of eligible essentials, plus some of the most surprising HSA/FSA-eligible items you can purchase through the online retailer. Spoiler alert: you can use your HSA/FSA to buy feminine products, sunscreen, lip balm, Band-Aids, and more.

Paying with your HSA or FSA on Amazon is way easier than you think.
Just add your HSA/FSA debit card as a payment option on Amazon. Now you’re ready to make your purchases. You want to look for HSA/FSA-eligible products for this to work. How? Two ways:
- Buy products straight from Amazon’s HSA/FSA department. Honestly, this is the easiest way to shop.
- Or, look for the phrase “FSA or HSA Eligible” on items you’re already buying. The words will be dark gray and appear next to the product during a search result, or on the product page itself.
SHOP THE AMAZON HSA/FSA STORE HERE
1. Buy all your monthly feminine care products using Amazon’s HSA/FSA option.
Almost anything you might need for feminine care can be purchased using your HSA/FSA card on Amazon. Find tampons, pads, and THINX period underwear. You can even buy menstrual cups and Monistat.
Amazon always tries to offer the lowest price to set themselves apart from other retailers, and they succeed in this case. For example, the Tampax Pearl tampons (as low as $7.57, Amazon) are cheaper than Target’s price of $7.99.
2. Use your HSA/FSA card to purchase pregnancy tests, which otherwise would’ve cost anywhere from $12 to $17.
Pregnancy tests, condoms, and ovulation tests aren’t cheap. Plus, the expense can add up quickly! Save money on all your family planning goods including the aforementioned products, or even a Sperm Check Fertility Test for Men, by purchasing them on Amazon with your HSA/FSA debit card.
We did some digging and found the same Clearblue Pregnancy Test Combo pack ($16.98, Amazon) at Target. But Target’s asking price was $17.39.
3. Subscribe & Save still works when you use your HSA/FSA card. You can save an additional 15% on eligible baby items.
There’s a pretty good selection of baby products on Amazon. You’ll find items like no-touch forehead thermometers and Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. Even everybody’s favorite snot sucker, the NoseFrida, is HSA/FSA-eligible on Amazon.
Definitely take advantage of the Subscribe & Save deals for items that you know you’re going to restock on later in the year. For example, say you need a restock of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste every two months. That means you’ll need six orders. Because $7.12 x 6 = 42.72, six orders of the butt paste will cost you $42.72 a year.
If you Subscribe & Save, you’d shop at the discounted price of $6.05 per order. Multiply that by six to get a total of $36.30 for the year. That’s a savings of $6 a year to put towards something else.

4. Purchase best-selling and viral Tiktok acne and skin treatments using your HSA/FSA card, too.
With close to 120,000 4.5-star reviews, cult favorite The Mighty Patch is used to treat all kinds of skin blemishes. The best part? It’s HSA/FSA-eligible on Amazon.
Other top-selling skincare treatments with up to 70,000 4.5-star reviews like Differin Gel (used for acne and aging) or PanOxyl Acne Foaming Wash are also HSA/FSA-eligible on Amazon. Shop over 2,000 HSA/FSA-eligible skincare products from Amazon here.
5. Buy the coveted $38 EltaMD sunscreen basically for free.
Sunscreen is important, but it can be so expensive. The Elta MD UV Daily SPF 40 Sunscreen, for example, retails for $38 across most retailers. However, you can use your HSA/FSA card to buy it on Amazon. And you can save an additional 15% if you Subscribe & Save.
Amazon also has plenty of other eligible suncare products including Cerave and Neutrogena.
6. Grab all your breastfeeding basics using an HSA/FSA card on Amazon. A lot of them go on sale quite often, at up to 15% off.
Get your breast pump fully paid for by working with your insurance company to cover it, or purchase a breast pump using your HSA/FSA account on Amazon. Extra parts, like spare valves, are also eligible.
Virtually anything you might need while breastfeeding is HSA/FSA-eligible on Amazon including nursing pads, breastmilk storage bags, the Momcozy Lactation Massager — even the spendy, but reliable, Silverette Nursing Covers. Plus, we’ve seen some of these items go on sale for up to 15% off in July 2023.
7. Purchase your children’s cold medicine on Amazon using an HSA/FSA card.
The next time you need to stock up on children’s cold medicine, grab your HSA/FSA card. All of these options below have a few thousand 5-star reviews, and all are eligible to be purchased on Amazon using your HSA/FSA card.
While you’re at it, snag the Cold & Flu NoseFrida 5-item bundle with the same account. It includes five items, which comes out to about $7 per piece. Walmart offered the same bundle for $20 more.
8. Choose from cough drops and adult cold medicine with Amazon’s FSA/HSA-eligible selection. Lots of them are on sale now, at up to 18% off.

Jack Black Lip Balm is a whopping $10 across multiple retailers, but use your HSA card and couple that with Amazon Prime shipping to get it quickly without pulling out your debit card.
You can also buy everyday lip balm from ChapStick or Blistex with your HSA/FSA on Amazon.
13. Grab dental care items on Amazon with your HSA/FSA card.
Dental care items like Colgate mouthwash, Plackers Grind No More mouthguards, and Anbesol Oral Pain Relief are all eligible to be purchased on Amazon using your HSA/FSA card.
We found the same 500 ml Colgate Peroxyl Antiseptic Mouth Rinse ($8.60, Amazon) for $11.99 at Safeway, nearly $4 more.
14. Find virtually anything for your medicine cabinet with Amazon’s HSA/FSA-eligible products.
Whether you’re looking for reusable gel ice packs, a Neti Pot, a travel-size first-aid kit, or simply a box of Band-Aids, Amazon has everything you need to re-stock your medicine cabinet using your HSA or FSA card.
