Inflation continues to cripple many Americans’ budgets, making a traditional Thanksgiving feast a stretch for some. To help you keep money in your pocket this holiday season, Aldi and Walmart are scaling back their Thanksgiving dinner cost.
While the average price of turkeys in 2024 is expected to drop 16% over last year, according to the Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute, sweet potatoes and russet potatoes have jumped 4% and 14%, respectively.
Thankfully, some Walmart turkeys will be priced at under $1 per pound, and sweet potatoes are $1.06 apiece (pre-inflation prices) through Dec. 24, making your Christmas and Hanukkah meal shopping less painful on your wallet too.
You can also save on holiday goodies and essentials this year with the best Walmart Black Friday deals and the early Black Friday sale at Target.
