You know who deserves a standing ovation and then some? Our incredible teachers. They spend their days educating and caring for our kids, all while getting paid far too little. Chipotle gets it. Their “Teachers Deserve Extra Promotion” campaign is a chance to roll out the red carpet for them with necessary school supplies. Cheap school supplies are great. However free school supplies? Even better.

Through Aug. 18, 2023, you can nominate a teacher making a positive impact in their community. Teachers can even vote for themselves (more on that below). Nominations are only allowed on Chipotle’s teachers website. Winners (Chipotle will choose 377 teachers) get a Classroom Kit of school supplies. This isn’t the first time Chipotle has recognized teachers. For the last few years, the restaurant has participated in Teacher Appreciation Week.

Aside from this promotion, several retailers offer teacher discounts and provide free school supplies for teachers. Download the Krazy Coupon Lady app to get the latest smart shopping tips, deals, and coupons.

Teacher nominations started Aug. 15 and runs through Aug. 18, 2023.

This year, Chipotle’s Teachers Deserve Extra promotion began on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023 at 12:01 a.m. PT. You have until Friday, Aug. 18, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. PT to nominate your favorite teacher.

Nominations are only accepted online and only from a listed school.

To nominate a teacher head to Teachers.Chipotle.com, select a school from their list, and complete/submit the form. You can nominate a teacher up to five times during the promo period. Entering the contest through any other means isn’t valid.

Teachers can vote for themselves as long as they are eligible:

  • Employed at a private or public school where there’s in-person learning (no remote)
  • Teach K-12 grade (or any combination)
  • The school must be located in one of the 50 U.S. States or the District of Columbia

Chipotle will randomly draw names; only 377 teachers will be selected.

Once the “Chipotle Teachers Deserve Extra” Promotion ends on August 18, Chipotle will randomly choose up to 377 teachers to receive the grand prizes. However, given the millions of teachers across the country, that’s pretty stiff competition. But it’s worth a try!

The Classroom Kits are tailored for different grade levels and worth nearly $400 each.

In 2022, Chipotle gave more than $1 million in free food to teachers.

In August 2022, Chipotle had another giveback campaign where the public could nominate their favorite K-12 teacher. Nominees got a chance to win free Chipotle for all teachers at their school. Then, 2,000 teachers were randomly selected and received the equivalent of $1 million in free food from Chipotle.
