The final Starbucks x Stanley collab of 2024 dropped on Thursday, Nov. 7 along with the rest of the 2024 Starbucks holiday cups and the Starbucks holiday drinks. The tumbler is a dark pink with a slight sparkle and gold details. It's very reminiscent of the tumbler we saw in January 2024, but the pink color is a darker shade in this new release.

Back in May 2023, Starbucks first teamed up with Stanley to create a limited-edition Target-exclusive peach-pink Stanley Adventure Quencher Tumbler for $44.95. Since then we’ve seen more Starbucks Stanley drops — with the winter pink Starbucks Stanley cup causing mass chaos at Target retailers nationwide on January 3, 2024 — and a $10 price increase. The newest fall 2024 Stanley Starbucks Quencher hit Starbucks Cafes and Target locations (priced at $54.95) on Aug. 22, 2024.

As we celebrate a year’s worth of these coffee tumbler collabs, here's how to get a discount and a few tips on how to actually find one in stock.

The New Starbucks Stanley Winter Pink Tumbler Is Here

You'll find the newest edition of the Stanley x Starbucks lineup at both Starbucks cafes and Target locations on Nov. 7, 2024. The price has been confirmed at $54.95.

If you visit your Starbucks Cafe and they're sold out, consider taking a trip to your local Target store. I stopped by my local Target in Washington, Pennsylvania, around 9 a.m. in the morning, and they still had a handful of cups available at the Guest Services area.

Unlike the January pink winter cup which was only available at Target, the latest batches of Starbucks Stanley cups have recently been available at Starbucks Cafe locations as well as Starbucks located in Target stores.

Past Starbucks x Stanley Cup Releases

Starbucks x Stanley Release Timeline 110624

As mentioned, we saw the first Starbucks and Stanley release in May of 2023. On May 9, 2023, the much-anticipated peachy pink cup hit shelves with a $44.95 price tag. And it sold out within minutes in both Starbucks Cafes and Target Starbucks locations.

Six months later — in November 2023 — a cherry-colored Starbucks Stanley cup arrived on shelves. This holiday red tumbler was priced at $49.95. Despite its hefty price tag, customers lined up outside Starbucks locations to buy one.

And then just two months after that, along with the Starbucks Winter Menu release on Jan. 3, 2024, the $49.95 winter pink Starbucks Stanley Cup release at Target caused mass chaos. It ended with in-store fights, long lines, and Target setting a rule of one cup per person, per day. This is likely why the Summer Sunset Gradient Stanley x Starbucks cup was available in both Starbucks Cafes and Target locations and why we'll see the same thing for future Stanley X Starbucks releases.

Starbucks Stanley Cups: Why Are They So Popular?

We’ve seen lines out the door, fist fights, and even people charging $10 for a picture with their Starbucks Pink Stanley Cup — what gives with this trend?

First, let’s look at the construction of the tumblers. Stanley is a well-known brand that has been around since 1913. In 2016 they released the Quencher H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler which has become a viral hit, particularly with Gen Z. These tumblers are popular for four big reasons.

  • Durability: The stainless steel construction resists dents, scratches, and corrosion.

  • Insulation: Their double-walled vacuum insulation keeps drinks hot for up to seven hours or cold for up to 11 hours.

  • Size: The 40-ounce capacity is large enough for any favorite hot or cold beverage — coffee, tea, cocktails, or just plain water.

  • Versatility: These tumblers are designed to be dishwasher safe and have a tight-fitting lid, straw, and comfortable handle. Their shape fits in cup holders and makes them convenient for travel.

But what’s so special about Starbucks Stanley tumblers in particular? Besides the lettering along the side that represents the collaboration between brands with hugely loyal fanbases — Starbucks and Stanley — the limited availability contributes to their popularity. In a word, they’re viral. The tumblers found only at Target Starbucks locations are even more rare and hard to find. In fact, the Pink Starbucks Stanley Cup was sold in store at Target only, and each store had between 3 and 38 cups available. Which is why collectors lined up early to get ’em.

Another reason for those long lines? You’re not just waiting in line alongside other Stanley enthusiasts and collectors. You’re also competing with resellers. Yep, resellers make a pretty penny by selling rare colors on eBay or Facebook Marketplace. For example, one Target watercolor cup, originally $45, sold for $100 on Facebook Marketplace. Others are listed for as much as $350!

Starbucks Stanley Cup Dupes: Cheaper Alternatives

If you’re not willing to shell out $55 for a water cup — no matter how pretty and viral it may be — you’re not alone. We’ve been digging for Stanley dupes for years now and know which ones are a good deal and worth your time. Here are a few of our favorites, for much less than the Stanley x Starbucks cups.
