National Taco Day celebrates one of the most popular foods, the taco, with national restaurants offering tacos for free and cheap. Chow down on promotions, such as free tacos with purchases, BOGO deals, combo discounts, membership rewards, online ordering discounts, and gift card promotions all day long.
National Taco Day happens every year on the first Tuesday of October.
For years, National Taco Day was held on Oct. 4. In 2024, Taco Bell and National Days Calendar officially moved the food holiday to the first Tuesday in October. That means next year, National Taco Day will fall on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025.
