The Lowe's Fall Flower Giveaway happened for the first time in September 2024. Lowe’s is expected to roll out another freebie for MyLowe’s Rewards members with the Fall Flower Giveaway predicted for Sept. 12 - 13, 2025. If it follows the usual pattern, you'll likely just need to sign up for a free MyLowe’s Rewards account and reserve your fall-blooming flower ahead of time. As always, checking your local store for availability on the day of the event will be key.
In Sept. 2024, we visited three locations and each were offering a different free flower. At one location, the free flower was a 1-pint pink annual vinca flower, another was a 1-pint pink mum and the other location had a 1-pint yellow mum, which are regularly priced at $1.98 at Lowe's (when they're in season).
The fall giveaway is just like the Lowe's Mother's Day Flower Giveaway in the spring where the free flowers will likely run out quickly — so we recommend reserving your flower online when it becomes available. Here’s what you might expect for Lowe’s Fall Flower giveaway in 2025.

This first-ever Lowe's Fall Flower Giveaway is a 2-day free plant giveaway for members of the free Lowe's reward program.
The Fall Flower Giveaway was new in 2024. During September, Lowe's is giving away one free fall-blooming flowering plant to MyLowe's Rewards members. The event takes place two weekends after Labor Day, and pickup happens in Lowe's stores only.
One location was offering free 1-pink pink vinca flower and the other was offering a free 1-pint yellow mum (regularly priced at $1.98), but this could vary depending on your location.
KCL predicts the next Lowe's Fall Flower Giveaway will start on Sept. 12, 2025.
While we don’t have all the specifics for next year just yet, we predict the 2025 Fall Flower Giveaway will take place on Sept. 12 - 13, 2025. It will likely be an exclusive freebie for rewards members and require pre-registration before the event start date.
How do we make our prediction?
We base our prediction on the start dates over the last year:
September 13, 2024
MyLowe's Rewards members must reserve a plant through the Lowe's app or website.
Don't expect to just show up to claim your free fall plant — you need to need to reserve it ahead of time through your myLowe's account. Once you reserve yours, they'll send you a reminder email so you don't forget to head to the store on your scheduled pickup day.
Keep in mind that this freebie isn't available if you live in Alaska or Hawaii.
Here's how to reserve your free fall flower:
Log in or sign up for a new rewards account on Lowes.com or in the Lowe's app (download for iOS / Android).
Go to your Account details, then MyLowe's Rewards.
Scroll down to find the Free Member Gift.
Select "Reserve."
Confirm your store; then select a pickup time (Sept. 13 or 14, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.).
Select "Reserve" again.
On your scheduled pickup day, go to your local Lowe's store and grab your free flower. You'll just enter your MyLowe's Rewards member ID at checkout to make it 100% free.
KCL TIP: A few weeks after you sign up for a MyLowe's Rewards account, you'll also receive a coupon good for $5 off a $50 purchase (valid for 30 days).
Free flower selection varies by location, all in 1-pint sizes.
On Sept. 13, 2024, we visited three different Lowe's locations and found different flower options at each. One store offered a 1-pint pink vinca, another had a 1-pint pink mum, and the third had a 1-pint yellow mum. These flowers, typically priced at $1.98 when in season, but were all available for free.
