Whether you’re planning a full remodel or a simple DIY project, you don’t have to pay full price at Home Depot.
Without one of the major Home Depot sales in 2024, you can score discounts, coupons, and promo codes on certain items year-round. Between bulk pricing, easy $5 coupons, and product-specific discounts, Home Depot savings are always within reach. And if you find a lower price at a competitor, a Home Depot price match can help you lock in the best deal.
KCL hunted down the best Home Depot discounts available in 2024 to show you which offers are worth grabbing. Plus, we tested and verified every discount on this list ourselves. Before we dive in:

Get a $5 coupon when you sign up for Home Depot emails.
Subscribing to Home Depot emails is one of the easiest ways to score a discount. You get a free $5 coupon off a $50 in-store purchase just for signing up. The coupon is good for up to two weeks after it arrives.
You can only get the coupon once per email address, but let’s face it. We’ve all used multiple accounts to get the same coupon more than once.
Head to Home Depot's email sign-up page to fill out the form and get your $5 coupon.
Save 10% on home decor as a catalog subscriber.
Most people don’t know that Home Depot decor catalogs exist. But if you need to spruce up your living space, you can get a 10% monthly discount by subscribing.
Subscribers get a monthly catalog in the mail, each with a 10% off coupon on the front cover. The coupon code works online for almost anything in the home decor category. Furniture, home accents, bedding, and bath products all qualify.
You can use each 10% off coupon on a single online purchase, but the maximum discount is $200. Visit Home Depot's catalog sign-up page to subscribe and start getting catalogs in the mail.
Leverage everyday bulk pricing for up to 20% savings.
Without a major sale, Home Depot’s bulk pricing is a sure way to save. And you don’t always have to buy hundreds of the same item to qualify for bulk discounts.
You can check out eligible items on Home Depot’s bulk pricing page. But these are a few offers we love most at KCL:
Up to 20% off bulk plant purchases.
You can save 10% - 20% on a variety of plants in the Home Depot Garden Center. Multi-pack annuals, ground cover plants, and gallon-sized shrubs and bushes typically qualify for everyday bulk pricing.
When you head into the Garden Center, look for the black and yellow bulk pricing signs around certain plant displays. These signs are hard to miss (hint: they may remind you of KCL).
Up to 20% off bulk paint supplies.
This offer doesn’t apply to paint itself, but you can get a 10% - 20% discount on supplies needed to get the job done. Most bulk pricing offers apply to purchases of four or more items. But a few require you to buy 12 or 24 at a time to qualify.
10% off select in-stock window treatments.
Home Depot gives you 10% off window shades when you buy 10 or more. In some cases, this can save you more than $2 per shade.
Save 5% when you auto-ship items with a Home Depot subscription.
Home Depot subscriptions are similar to Amazon’s Subscribe & Save. You’ll get an easy 5% off when you choose to auto-ship repeat purchases. Think: laundry detergent, trash bags, and batteries. You can have as many Home Depot subscriptions as you’d like and cancel them at any time.
How to start a Home Depot subscription:
On the online product page, click the check box that says 'Subscribe and get 5% off every order.'
Select your delivery frequency. You can choose between monthly and yearly deliveries for most items.
Click ‘Subscribe’ and checkout as normal.
Visit your account online or in the app to manage your subscriptions. From your account, click ‘Account Dashboard’ then ‘Subscriptions.’
Get 10% off at Home Depot as a military member or veteran.
Military members and veterans can save even more with the Home Depot military discount. Qualifying shoppers get 10% off full-priced purchases in-store and online. The only downside: Home Depot limits your military discount to $400 per year.
Members or veterans (and spouses) of the following military branches are eligible for the discount:
Air Force
Army
Coast Guard
Marine Corps
National Guard
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
Navy
Space Force
U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (USPHS)
KCL TIP: Lowe’s military discount gives you 10% off without the $400 annual limit.
Shop at Home Depot tax free as a teacher or government employee.
Home Depot’s Tax Exempt Program allows government employees (and some teachers) to shop at Home Depot tax free.
Once you register online and verify your status, Home Depot gives you a tax-exempt ID to use in stores and online. You don’t need to register if you have a Federal Government Purchase Card. You’ll automatically get the tax discount when you shop at Home Depot.
