Famous Footwear coupons are for people who love Nike, Vans and Converse but do not love the price tags that come with them.

If that’s you, you’re exactly where you need to be, because the truth is, Famous Footwear isn’t exactly the cheapest place to shop for shoes at regular prices. Nor do they allow Kohl’s-level coupon stacking — in fact, you can only use one store coupon at a time.

But, there are ways to stack discounts, including their BOGO deals, at Famous Footwear and I’m going to show you that, along with which brands and sales to watch for (and which brands to buy elsewhere ) in order to get name-brand shoes for prices your wallet gets excited about.

Download the KCL app to be the first to find out about Famous Footwear deals we see regularly.

1. Join the store rewards program to earn Famous Footwear coupons and more.

It’s worth it to join Famously You Rewards, because you’ll earn $5 for every $100 you spend at Famous Footwear (up to $250 in earnings per year). Plus, you’ll get these other perks too:

  • A coupon for 20% off a $50 purchase when you sign up
  • $5 reward coupon on your birthday, plus earn double points during your birthday month
  • Free shipping every time you shop
  • One extra Buy 1, Get 1 50% off sale to use once a year (any day you choose)
  • One day of the year to earn two points per dollar you spend (instead of one point per dollar)

2. Get $5 every time you use curbside or in-store pickup.

Sign in front of Famous Footwear that says "curbside pick up here"

All Famous Footwear stores offer in-store pickup and many also offer curbside pickup. When you select “Famously Fast Pickup” at checkout, you’ll receive $5 in Rewards Cash.

Best part? This isn’t just a one-time offer. You can earn this reward every time you place an order for pickup. Find a Famous Footwear near you.

3. Stack a rewards coupon, a regular coupon and a sale at Famous Footwear.

Yes, you can stack coupons at Famous Footwear!

Here’s the lowdown: You can stack a coupon like 20% off a $50 purchase with a $5 rewards coupon. And you can use these on a sale item. But you can’t stack two store coupons, even if you’re buying more than one pair of shoes.

4. Coupons show a Famous Footwear promo code you can enter when shopping online.

Any coupons you receive over email also have a promo code, so if you’re shopping FamousFootwear.com, enter the promo code to get your discount.

If you’re shopping in store, an associate can scan the barcode on your coupon.

5. Download the Famous Footwear app for access to app-only deals like 15% off backpacks.

It’s worth it to download the Famous Footwear app, because you get access to deals you wouldn’t find on the regular website or in store. In order to successfully download the app, you’ll need your “member number,” but it’s a tricky little number to find.

Here’s how to find it: Once you’ve created your Famous Footwear Rewards account, select “Your Rewards Card” on FamousFootwear.com to view your member number so you can enter it on the app. I had to call customer service to have them walk me through it — it’s not intuitive at all. Godspeed.

6. Clearance price tags end in “.98,” everything else ends in “.99.”

Clearance pricing is straightforward at Famous Footwear. Anything ending in “.98” is clearance. Full price items, plus regular sale items end in “.99.”

Items on the clearance shelves in the stores just keep receiving markdowns until they’re gone. That’s why you can find shoes for as low as $5.98. If you look closely, there are multiple stickers on shoes like this, indicating multiple markdowns.

7. Shop on Wednesdays in order to get first dibs on new clearance markdowns.

Clearance markdowns happen on Wednesdays, so shop then or Thursday in order to get the best selection.

8. Buy clearance Converse during a Buy 1, Get 1 50% off sale.

OK, I agree — BOGO 50% off isn’t a hot deal by itself. And Famous Footwear runs this deal often. So, don’t get too excited unless you can find two pairs of brand-name clearance shoes, like Converse.

If you can do this, combining clearance prices with a BOGO 50% off sale can result in a great deal. In fact, anytime you can get Chuck Taylors for under $20 per pair, buy!

9. What does “Coupon excluded, BOGO first pair only” on FamousFootwear.com mean?

A phone held up in front of Dr. Martins shoes showing "bogo 1st pair only

Some shoe brands don’t participate fully in the BOGO 50% off, like Dr. Martens. When you see “Coupon excluded, BOGO first pair only,” it means that you can’t get that brand as your “50% off” pair of shoes in a BOGO 50% off sale. It has to be the pair you pay full price for (or, the “first pair”).

10. Don’t bother with Dr. Martens at Famous Footwear — they’re cheaper elsewhere.

Speaking of Dr. Martens, you can’t use coupons on this brand at Famous Footwear!

Famous Footwear claims to offer up to 25% savings on Dr. Martens, but 8-17% savings is more what you’re gonna see. I’ll compare this with up to 63% savings at Nordstrom Rack and 57% savings at 6pm.com:

Famous Footwear: Women’s Luana Combat Boot (reg. $119.99) $89.99, sale price
Nordstrom Rack: 1460 Tartan Plaid Boot (reg. $160) $59.98, sale price
6pm.com: Leah Steel Toe Boot (reg. $145) $62.99, sale price

11. Only buy Crocs if you can stack a coupon or promo code and a sale.

Crocs, like Dr. Martens, are cheaper at 6pm.com. But unlike Dr. Martens, you can use coupons to buy them. And if you have enough of a sale price and coupon to combine, you can get close to 6pm.com prices. Really close! Check it out:

Famous Footwear

Buy 1 Women’s Classic Clog (reg. $44.99) $39.99, sale price
Use FAMOUSTOGETHER for 25% off
Final Price: $30

12. Vans shoes sold at Famous Footwear are “made-for-discount” styles.

What does this mean? Well, it means you’re not getting the same product you’d get if you bought it directly from the brand. So, when you’re shopping Vans.com, you’ll see the Classic Slip-On. You cannot find the Classic Slip-On at Famous Footwear. Instead, they sell “Asher Slip-Ons.”

This happens because Famous Footwear sells off-brand Vans, not what you’d find if you bought directly from Vans.com.

Here’s the clincher — Famous Footwear’s brand isn’t much cheaper than the version on Vans.com.

13. Not picky on shoe style? Get up to 79% off retail prices when you shop closeouts.

The Famous Closeouts section at FamousFootwear.com is a goldmine of deep markdowns. Especially for women’s shoes and boots. Expect to see brands like Franco Sarto, Naturalizer, Via Spiga, Dr. Scholl’s, Zodiac and more. Check it out:

14. Shop Famous Footwear Black Friday for savings on Nike, Adidas, Vans and more.

In 2019, Famous Footwear offered its trusty BOGO 50% off sale along with an extra 15% off coupon.

Cool part was that you could skip going in store on crazy Black Friday — the retailer offered this sale at FamousFootwear.com, too. Here are a few examples of deals I saw:

Buy 1 Nike Revolution 5 Running Shoes $64.99, regular price
Buy 1 adidas 90’s Valasion Sneaker (reg. $79.99) $39.99, sale price
BOGO 50% off
Use ONLINE2019 for 15% off
Final Price: $36.12 each, when you buy 2 (44% savings)
Buy 1 Vans Men’s Filmore Skate Shoes $59.99, regular price
Buy 1 Vans Men’s Ward Sneakers $59.99, regular price
BOGO 50% off
Use ONLINE2019 for 15% off
Final Price: $38.24 each, when you buy 2 (36% savings)

15. Famous Footwear Outlets are no different than regular stores.

If ever there was a reason to scratch my head in wonder, it’s Famous Footwear Outlets.

Normally outlets offer lower prices, off-season merchandise at a discount…you know…something to get excited about.

Not Famous Footwear Outlets! Instead, they carry the same brands at the same prices as regular Famous Footwear stores. What’s the point of calling it an outlet, right?

The one thing to look for if you happen to have an outlet near you, is a very slight — maybe $5 off markdown on clearance over and above what you’d find at the regular Famous Footwear stores. In summary, if you live close to an outlet, go for it. But don’t make a special trip to a Famous Footwear Outlet expecting dirt cheap Nikes and Vans.

16. Pay with a discounted gift card from Raise.com and save an extra 11% on top of coupons.

Since a discounted gift card is a form of payment, you can definitely stack it with anything else at Famous Footwear.

You buy a full-face value gift card for a discounted price, so your savings comes off the top. For example, you’d pay $44.52 for a $50 Famous Footwear gift card at Raise.com.
