1. First, verify your status with UNiDAYS to get the 20% off American Eagle student discount.
The UNiDAYS website is the go-to place for a bunch of student discounts. Once you register on their site, you’ll unlock the student discount at not just American Eagle, but also places like Forever 21, Hollister, and Express.
In order to sign up, you’ll need to verify your current .edu email address. Don’t have one? Upload a photo of your current school ID or academic documents instead.
Once you’re enrolled, you’ll get a special promo code to use online or a barcode to scan in-store.
2. Plan to purchase full-price merch only with the AE student discount.
Clearance items at American Eagle aren’t eligible for the student discount, so don’t even bother adding them to your cart if all you’re hoping to do is score that extra 20% off.

3. Join the American Eagle loyalty program to earn points (and $5 off coupons).
If you haven’t already, you need to join American Eagle’s free loyalty program, Real Rewards.
You’ll earn 10 points for every $1 you spend. After you reach 1,250 points (by spending $125), you’ll unlock a $5 reward.

Unfortunately, your student discount won’t reduce shipping fees at American Eagle. So if you’re shopping AE.com, you’ll have to hit a minimum of $75 to get free shipping. Otherwise, expect to pay $7 to ship it.
Another option is free in-store pickup or even curbside pickup at some American Eagle locations.

Your American Eagle student discount won’t work on gift cards. Instead, head over to Raise.com to purchase discounted American Eagle gift cards. You’ll save around 12% on average, but you’ll likely see a better price after the holidays when they have more discounted gift cards up for grabs.
And remember that since American Eagle and Aerie are owned by the same company (AEO Inc.), you can use their gift cards interchangeably.
