You know those old pairs of jeans sitting in the back of the closet just taking up space? You might recycle clothes; you could walk away with some money or a high-value coupon at your favorite store. Anthropologie is the latest store to start a denim recycling program.

They’re in partnership with Cotton Incorporated’s Good Jeans Go Green. Anthropologie and many of your other favorite stores are making big moves to become sustainable fashion brands, allowing you to save the earth and money at the same time.

Even though Anthropologie’s denim recycling program is only for a limited time, there are still plenty of other stores where you can bring your old jeans — for store credit or discounts.

Take your jeans to Madewell and they’ll recycle the clothes into insulation — and give you $20.

Anthropologie will take your old jeans, jackets, shirts, or anything denim — as long as it’s at least 90% cotton. And anyone who recycled before Aug. 7 got a coupon for $20 off a $100 Anthropologie jeans purchase.

You’re out of luck if you didn’t recycle before that time, but if you don’t care about money and want to get rid of your old denim, then you have until Aug. 31 to bring them to any Anthropologie location and recycle them.

TIP: Keep an eye out for Anthro to do denim recycling again in the future. But in the meantime, you can also save money by checking out our Anthropologie store hacks.

American Eagle Outfitters will give you 20% off a new pair of jeans when you bring in your old denim.

Bring in your old Levi’s brand jeans, denim, shorts, and Trucker jackets to your local Levi’s store and walk away with a gift card worth up to $30 (depending on what and how much you bring in).

Keep in mind that they won’t give you a gift card for all types of jeans. For a breakdown of what they’ll take, check Levi’s website. If your jeans don’t qualify, Levi’s will donate them on your behalf; you just won’t get the gift card.
