Although the start date of the 64-team tournament varies from year to year, it typically begins in the second or third week of March and continues until the championship game. This year, the NCAA 2025 March Madness basketball tournament began on Tuesday, March 18 (the first four teams), and end on Monday, April 7 (the championship game).
