Chipotle Booritos come around every Halloween — and if you're an OG fan, I think you'll be excited that this event is getting back to its roots. Chipotle Rewards members that wear a costume in store will get discounted entrees from 3 p.m. to close. Despite being online for a few years, in 2024 it returned as an in-store-only event requiring a costume. And we expect the same rules for Chipotle Boorito in 2025.
This promo has been around for almost a decade, but the rules — and the price of the once-free burrito — keep changing. You heard right, Chipotle Booritos used to be free — you'd dress up like a burrito, visit a store, and you'd receive a free burrito. Easy, right? Well, it's still pretty easy, but now you'll pay $6 for that same burrito.
Though the price is higher, this is still one of our favorite Chipotle deals because it's still a 55% discount and it's fun.

The Chipotle Boorito event is a once-yearly promotion that rewards costume-wearing customers with $6 entrees.
It’s as simple as this: Chipotle Rewards members visit in store on Halloween dressed in costume. As a reward, you get a $6 entree of your choice.
KCL predicts the Chipotle Boorito deal will return on Friday, Oct. 31.
This promotion happens on Halloween. While the rules and coupons change, we've never seen the date change — so if it returns for another year, you'll want to get your costumes ready by Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.
At $6, the Boorito is still a good deal.
An entree from Chipotle costs anywhere between $9.75 to $13.30, so the Boorito deal gives you a 39% - 55% discount, depending on your choice of protein.
Each rewards account can only claim one discount per account, so if you're in a group, make sure everyone has their own individual account and placed their own individual orders (which is the easiest way to get free Chipotle).
While free Booritos are a thing of the past, Chipotle has kept the Halloween tradition going.
For the past few years, Chipotle has had different promotions in conjunction with the Chipotle Booritos so that everyone could enjoy with a possible free entree from Chipotle.
Here’s what they ran in the past (talk about a lesson in inflation!):
2024: Chipotle Rewards members could visit in store from 3 p.m. to store closing to get a $6 entree on Halloween.
2023: Chipotle Rewards members could place an online or app order from 3 p.m. to store close on Halloween using a coupon code and get a $6 entree.
2022: Chipotle teamed up with BeReal and CashApp to give lucky winners free Chipotle for a year and money on their CashApp account; $6 entrees for everyone in costume.
2021: Free burrito to the first 30,000 winners of the Roblox Chipotle game; $5 entrees for everyone.
2020: BOGO free entrees with secret code on their social media.
2019: Chipotle teamed up with TikTok to run a competition for free burritos for a year; $4 entrees for everyone in costume.
2018: Chipotle hosted a costume contest that could have earned you free Chipotle for a year; $4 entrees for everyone in costume.
2017: Free burritos for a year sweepstakes; $3 entrees for everyone in costume.
If you're new to Chipotle Rewards, you’ll get a free chips and guac the next time you visit.
The free Chipotle Rewards loyalty program gives you free chips and guacamole (regularly $4.85) after your first purchase. You can use your Boorito purchase as that first purchase, and then when you get your next Chipotle meal, you’ll get to enjoy free chips and guac.
