If you’re looking for a refresh on some of your home’s biggest work horses (looking at you washer and dryer), then it’s worth taking a look at the annual Best Buy Labor Day sale. In 2023, it ran for weeks, ending on Sept. 13 (long after Labor Day). The retailer boasted offers up to 40% off the heavy duty stuff. Think everything from fridges to ranges. But don’t forget about the little guys. There were sales on small appliances as well during this event.
We’ll fill you in on our favorite deals from last year so you have an idea of what to expect during the 2024 sale. Plus, we have insight into the Best Buy return policy, should you ultimately end up needing it. Missed the Best Buy Labor Day Sale? Don’t be shy about asking for discounts on floor model appliances.
Whether you’re a natural-born haggler or new to the game, there is no shame in asking about a discount on floor models. Particularly if these have small dings and dents. At some point retailers have to unload these items. We recommend negotiating at a big percentage, like 25% off. However, if a manager or sales associate doesn’t go for that, hopefully you can meet somewhere in the middle. Even 10% is a win.
