One of the biggest perks of shopping online is you can buy all the things while still in your Pj's. When Ikea hosts their Complete Sleep Pajama Party, we get to do just that but in IRL. Even better, if you show up to the store in your pajamas (and have preregistered for the event), they'll treat you to a free small breakfast.
The first of these Ikea Pj parties happened in August 2024, but we're really hoping they make it an annual event. So much so that we're predicting a date for 2025 (find that below).
Ikea offers few other treats in store during their Pajama Party, but being able to roll out of bed and have someone else make you breakfast (for free) is a pretty nice Ikea savings hack.

Ikea's Complete Sleep Pajama Party is a once-a-year in-store event.
One thing we like about Ikea — the home furnishings retailer loves an in-store event and has them at least once a month in some form. Their August 2024 Complete Sleep Pajama Party, however, was the first time their first time celebrating with this theme, at least in the U.S.. If you're an Ikea Family member (that's their loyalty program), you can register for the event online when it's announced. As long as you're signed up, you and up to three additional members of your family can receive a free Ikea breakfast from 9:30 - 11 a.m. on the day of the event. That's if you all wear your Pj's to the store.
KCL predicts the next Ikea Complete Sleep Pajama Party will happen on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025.
Ikea hasn't confirmed if and when they'll have another Pajama Party, but we predict the event will return on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025. Keep in mind the official hours of the event have been 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the past, but the free breakfast is only available until 11 a.m. After that Ikea switches over to their lunch menu, and you'll be out of luck for that complimentary brekkie.
How do we make our prediction?
So far this event has only happened once, and that was over Labor Day weekend (Aug. 31, 2024, to be exact). With this in mind, we think the Pajama Party will have similar timing in 2025.
Free breakfast is served from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
One of the biggest draws of this Ikea event is the free breakfast, which is served between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the day of the Pj party. If you arrive after 11 a.m. in your Pj's, you'll still have a comfortable shopping experience, but you won't get free breakfast. Also keep in mind that only four Ikea Family members under the same account (again, dressed in Pj's) qualify for the free breakfast during the Pajama Party.
What do you get for breakfast at Ikea?
Ikea has a few different breakfast options, but for the purposes of this freebie it's their Small Breakfast Plate. This includes eggs, potatoes, and bacon. On average, this plate typically costs $2.49 at Ikea; however, menu prices do vary depending on location.
Here's how to sign up for an Ikea event.
First, make sure you register for the event, as spots are limited. But there are a few other things you should know before you go.
Not all Ikea events require registration, but the Complete Sleep Pajama Party does. To sign up, you want to do the following:
Make sure you're an Ikea Family member (It's free to join).
Go to Ikea.com and log in to your Family account.
Use the store finder on the menu at the top of the homepage to locate your nearest Ikea's store page.
Scroll down below store hours and click on "Events and Activities."
Again, scroll through the events until you reach your desired event; then click through and follow the prompts for registration.
Once you're registered, Ikea will email you a confirmation including a QR code that serves as your ticket for the event.
The first 50 Ikea Family members to check in for a kids' Storytime activity get a "sleep treat."
Ikea loves to be super vague when it comes to their giveaways, so we have no idea what this kids' sleep treat involves. Will it be a soft toy? A blanket? A nightlight? A bed canopy? We wish we knew. All we do know is that there are only 50 up for grabs and you have to both be registered for the Ikea Complete Sleep Pajama Party and among the first 50 to check in for Storytime (activity times vary by store, so check your location for details).
