Stock Up, Give Back: Huggies Is Donating Diapers for Every Pack You Buy at CVS

The Krazy Coupon Lady is an ad-supported service. Many offers on our site contain affiliate links, and we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase using them. Some posts are sponsored by the maker of the product, and we receive a fee for the post. See our full advertiser disclosure.

Diaper sticker shock is the reality for pretty much all new parents. But for low-income families, the cost of diapers is more than a challenge: it's a crisis. One in two U.S. families can't afford enough diapers to keep their baby clean and dry, according to the National Diaper Bank Network.

That's where Project Hug from Huggies® comes in. And where you come in.

Huggies will donate diapers when you buy diapers.

From Sept. 1 through Nov. 30, when you buy a pack of Huggies at CVS, Project Hug will donate six diapers (a day's worth) to the National Diaper Bank Network for babies in need.*

You don't need to do anything extra when you buy; just choose products like these at CVS:

  1. Huggies Little Snugglers Baby Diapers, Size 2, 29 ct

  2. Huggies Little Movers Baby Diapers, Size 6, 16 ct

  3. Huggies Snug & Dry Baby Diapers, Size 7, 15 ct

Be sure to take advantage of these offers when you shop:

  • Sale offer: Get two packs for $21 (on 32-count size or smaller).

  • Spend $20, get $5 in ExtraBucks.

Think of Huggies® Project Hug as a feel-good bonus. You're supporting a good cause and helping families with a daily necessity while also saving on your own diaper purchase.

How to Save on Diapers at CVS

While you're helping out families in your community with your Huggies purchase at CVS, you can also save money. After all, diapers cost roughly $100 per month per child, so anytime we can lower that cost, it's worth it.

Join CVS ExtraCare to earn ExtraBucks back on your purchase.

Once you're a member of the CVS ExtraCare rewards program (it's totally free to join), you'll earn 2% back in ExtraBucks every time you shop when you present your CVS ExtraCare card at checkout. Earning 2% might not seem like a lot, but it all adds up, especially when you're buying diapers.

Look for special ExtraBucks offers on Huggies diapers.

CVS frequently runs special promotions that will help you earn more ExtraBucks on specific purchases. You'll find these promos advertised on the shelves at CVS, but an easier way is to check the CVS weekly ad. In the past we've seen $10 in ExtraBucks rewards when you purchase select Huggies products.

Shop baby deals at CVS.

Again, the CVS weekly ad is your friend here. Search it to find sales on Huggies products and other baby deals.

Stack coupons to save more.

Stacking coupons involves combining different kinds of offers together to save more (for example, combining a discount from the store with a manufacturer coupon).

CVS is one of our favorite places to stack coupons, because it allows you to use manufacturer coupons, CVS-issued coupons, and ExtraBucks offers together. Learn how to stack coupons at CVS.

Use rebate apps to earn cash back or gift cards on your purchases.

Apps like Ibotta and Fetch allow you to earn a little extra on the side when you shop at a variety of retailers (including CVS). With these apps, opting in to rebates or (in some cases) uploading your receipt gets you cash back and points that you can redeem or use toward gift cards. The cool part is that you get these rebates on top of whatever store coupons you're using.

Use these tactics to save on your diaper purchases at CVS and generate more Huggies donated diapers. Huggies will donate up to 1.5 million diapers during this promotion, so you can use your couponing powers (while saving money) to make a difference.
