Luckily, I have found free pet vaccinations near me, but there are also programs across the country. They’re usually available based on income, but don’t let that deter you. While some of the income requirements are quite low, a lot of them have limits higher than you might think.
Today I’ll go over free pet vaccination options in each state. On the off chance there’s not one listed close to you geographically, I’ll also cover some tips on how you can find programs locally.

States and local governments are invested in making sure your pet gets spayed or neutered. Sometimes they’ll also provide free or low-cost vaccination programs. If you can’t find a location you qualify for below, try doing an online search for “free pet vaccinations near me” plus:

- City/locality
Organizations offering low-cost programs across the country include Remote Area Medical Pop-Up Clinics and various branches of the Humane Society.
Free Pet Vaccinations in Every State
Here are some of the places you can look to for free pet vaccination programs in all 50 states.
Alabama
Shelby Humane in Columbiana offers a low-cost vaccination clinic. Some of the vaccines included are free, and the rest are under $15.
Alaska
It can be tough to find free pet vaccination programs in Alaska. But check with your vet to see if they provide any financial assistance. For example, Homer Veterinary Clinic has a charitable fund that can help cover the cost of services.
Arizona
The Arizona Animal Welfare League offers low-cost vaccination services, but you can get your vaccine costs sponsored if you live in one the following zip codes:

Arkansas
Look to Best Friends Animal Society to find free vaccination events in the community.
California
The Paw Fund offers free pet vaccination clinics on a regular basis to residents of Alameda and Contra Costa counties. You can check out the full calendar here.
Colorado
Check the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region‘s event schedule. They normally charge about $20 for vaccines. However, they often work with community businesses and organizations to provide free pet vaccinations for low-income pet owners.
Connecticut
In Connecticut, you can get low-cost or free pet vaccinations via the Connecticut Humane Society’s Pop-Up Pet Wellness Clinics.
Delaware
Look to the Brandywine Valley SPCA for free pet vaccination events. You’ll typically find these in conjunction with community partners.
Florida
First Coast in Jacksonville offers low-cost and free pet services, including the vaccinations your doggo needs.
Georgia
The Lifeline Animal Project helps bring low-cost and free pet vaccinations to communities in and surrounding the Atlanta metro.
Hawaii
Hawaii is actually a rabies-free state, so that’s one vaccination you don’t have to worry about! If you live in District 9 of Honolulu, you may qualify for free pet vaccination services through the Hawaiian Humane Society for all the other shots your pet does need.
Idaho
They don’t run all the time, but if you’re looking for free pet vaccinations in Idaho, Lewis Clark Animal Shelter in Lewiston regularly partners with community businesses and organizations to host free vaccination events.
Illinois
Cook County residents can get free pet vaccines at Chicago’s Pet Vaccine Clinics. They don’t run year-round, but when they host events you can also get free microchipping services.
Indiana
One of the many places you can get free pet vaccinations in Indiana is Humane Indiana. To qualify for this specific program, you will have to live in Gary. Specifically, your zip code has to be 46407.
Iowa
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa regularly works together with community partners to host free pet vaccination events.

Kansas
In Kansas, look to the Kansas Humane Society for community events offering free pet vaccination. Of course, just as with all the states, you can look to other organizations in your community if the Humane Society doesn’t currently have a date on the calendar.
Kentucky
Live in Louisville? Keep an eye open for the Kentucky Humane Society’s CARE-a-Van, which administers free vaccines to pets in the city and surrounding areas.
Louisiana
In Louisiana, most of the free pet vaccination clinics are held at pet shelters and nonprofits. Keep in mind they usually occur when there’s a specific donation or sponsorship from a larger organization, like American Humane, the Bissell Pet Foundation, Petco Love, etc.
Check with your local shelter to see if they’re plugged in to the latest events with corporate or national sponsors.
Maine
If you live in Maine, a good way to find free pet vaccination clinics is by looking up your local Humane Society. For example, the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society regularly hosts free vaccination clinics for people who live in their area.
Maryland
If you live in Maryland, know that mid-Atlantic rabies is a huge problem: you’re not going to want to skip your pets’ vaccinations. Luckily, organizations like Maryland SPCA provide financial assistance programs to facilitate free pet vaccinations and other pet healthcare.
Massachusetts
The Merwin Clinic provides free veterinary services to Massachusetts pet owners. While the services are free, there are sometimes (extremely low) fees associated with vaccinations.
Another option is to keep an eye open for free onetime vaccination clinics throughout your community.

Michigan
Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit hosts free pet vaccination clinics on a fairly regular basis.
Minnesota
The University of Minnesota’s VeTouch Clinic offers free pet vaccinations and select other veterinary services on a monthly basis.
Mississippi
The Humane Society of Southern Mississippi offers low-cost pet vaccinations all the time. Additionally, they run free vaccination events from time to time with partners in the community.
Missouri
While they’re not available all the time, Pet Wellness Alliance in Columbia is known for teaming up with community partners to host free pet vaccination events.
Montana
The Street Dog Coalition in Montana offers a free pet clinic, including vaccinations, on a monthly basis.
Nebraska
The Street Dog Coalition operates in Nebraska, too.
Nevada
Heaven Can Wait is an animal shelter in Vegas that offers low-cost pet vaccinations on the regular. If you keep an eye out, they do also throw free pet vaccination clinics from time to time.
New Hampshire
The MSPCA Angell offers free pet vaccinations and other services to the community through their program MSPCA C.A.R.E.S.
New Jersey
The Animal Care Center of North Jersey takes things to the next level. Vaccinations are free. All the time. The end.
New Mexico
The City of Albuquerque runs a free mobile clinic for low-income residents, which does administer free pet vaccinations among other services. You will need to prove your income by bringing your EBT or Medicaid card, or bring other proof of income, like your latest W-2s.
New York
Animal Care Centers of NYC runs a traveling pet clinic offering tons of free services, including free vaccinations.
North Carolina
Wake County Animal Center regularly hosts Pet Community Days. Here you can get free services like microchipping and vaccination. Sometimes there will be a small fee for specific vaccinations, but these tend to top out at $5.
North Dakota
While they don’t run them all the time, Turtle Mountain Animal Clinic in North Dakota does run free pet vaccination events on occassion. Check out their site for the latest information.
Ohio
Save Ohio Pets offers free vaccination clinics on a regular basis. Check out their calendar to find one near you.
Oklahoma
Vaccinations are always low-cost if you’re low-income through Oklahoma Alliance for Animals and their partners. But sometimes they’ll run completely free vaccination events, too. Get in touch with them to find out when the next one is happening.
Oregon
PAW Team in Portland, Oregon offers free and low-cost pet vaccination services to families in need all the time.
Pennsylvania
PAWS Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society normally charges for their vaccinations. However, they do run clinics for pets and pet owners in need on a rotating basis. Contact them to find out when they’re having their next free vaccination clinic.
Rhode Island
The Potter League offers free (or low-cost, depending on your situation) pet vaccinations to elderly, disabled, and low-income residents. Sometimes you can catch a prescheduled clinic date, but you can also contact them to set up your own clinic date to get your pet vaccinated.
South Carolina
Charleston Animal Society regularly hosts free pet vaccination clinics. You’ll have the best odds of finding dates scheduled February through April. But feel free to reach out if you need services throughout the rest of the year.
South Dakota
The Oglala Pet Project can help you get free or low-cost pet vaccinations and other services, especially if you’re having trouble traveling to the closest pet clinic.
Tennessee
The Beesley Animal Clinic in Murfreesboro does provide financial assistance to pet owners who qualify. This can result in free or low-cost vaccinations, depending on your situation.
Texas
The Animal Defense League of Texas regularly holds free pet vaccination clinics in San Antonio. The best part of this program is that you don’t necessarily have to be low-income. All you have to do to qualify is prove residency.
Utah
Utah Pet Adoptions in Salt Lake City offers free and low-cost pet vaccinations by appointment.
Vermont
Community Animal Aid holds a free, monthly pet clinic, which includes vaccines, in East Barre, Vermont.
Virginia
The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria regularly holds Community Pet Care Fairs. Pets can receive free vaccinations at these. The events usually happen on a monthly basis.
Washington
One of the organizations offering free pet vaccinations in Washington State is Seattle Veterinary Outreach. If you don’t qualify for the totally free vaccines, you may be able to qualify for low-cost vaccinations.
West Virginia
One good place to check for free pet vaccinations in West Virginia is the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association. They sometimes partner with local community businesses and organizations to provide free microchips and vaccinations to local pets.
Wisconsin
In Milwaukee, the Wisconsin Humane Society runs a program called Pets for Life, which provides a ton of free services for pets including free vaccinations.
Wyoming
Keep an eye on Black Dog Animal Rescue’s events. The largest rescue in the state, they’ll often partner with local community organizations to provide both low-cost and free pet vaccinations, along with other services.
