The 10 Best Costco Deals Right Now (And Why We Picked Them)

The Krazy Coupon Lady is an ad-supported service. Many offers on our site contain affiliate links, and we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase using them. Some posts are sponsored by the maker of the product, and we receive a fee for the post. See our full advertiser disclosure.

If you’re on the hunt for the best deals at Costco right now, let me give you a peek at a few of the hottest deals you shouldn't miss this month, as selected by our team of Costco deal hunters. I've even included price comparisons to show you just how much you're saving.

And the best part about shopping these deals at Costco? No physical coupons are required.

But as we always recommend, you'll want to shop these deals in store to get the absolute lowest prices. That's because Costco online shopping is more expensive than in-warehouse shopping (we cover this in our Costco price hacks article). And their online shopping gets even more costly if you order same-day delivery.

If you want to see a full ad scan with all the Costco sale prices available this month (Aug. 28 - Sept. 22), check out our Costco Coupon Book post.

Best Deals at Costco Right Now (September 2024)

1. MadeGood Granola — $7.99

Why our editors recommend this deal: Compared to the Amazon price for these MadeGood Organic Granola Minis ($15.99), you're saving $8 with the Costco deal. This comes out to a savings of $0.33 per granola mini.

2. Jimmy Dean Croissant Sandwiches — $10.69

Why our editors recommend this deal: Costco knocked $4.30 off the 12-count box of Jimmy Dean Croissant Sandwiches this month, which makes the price per sandwich just $0.89 (much cheaper than other fast food options). And it's an even better deal than the current price at Sam's Club.

3. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers — $10.99

Why our editors recommend this deal: You're paying $0.73 per Magic Eraser with this Costco price — which is really close to our recommended stock-up price for Magic Erasers ($0.38 - $0.63). And the 15-count box should last you a while.

4. Swiffer Sweeper Refills — $13.99

Why our editors recommend this deal: Costco knocked $4 off the price of this 50-count box of Swiffer Sweeper refills. Even BJ's can't compete with this deal — they have the 50-count box for $19.99 at BJ's right now.

5. Prime Hydration 18-Pack — $13.99

Why our editors recommend this deal: Getting 30% off Prime Hydration multipacks is a stock-up worthy deal, especially when Sam's Club has the same Prime multipack for $17.98.

6. Kleenex Facial Tissue 12-Pack — $16.49

Why our editors recommend this deal: This Costco price drop on Kleenex tissues results in a stock-up price — just $0.02 per tissue (we recommend stocking up when they're $0.015 - $0.02 per tissue). For comparison, the same size Kleenex box is $18.18 at Sam's Club this month.

7. Tide Detergent — $19.99

Why our editors recommend this deal: You should stock up on Tide detergent when you see the price per load fall somewhere between $0.10 - $0.14, according to our stock-up guide, and this month's Costco deal does exactly that.

8. Mars Full-Size Candy 30-Pack — $20.79

Why our editors recommend this deal: Halloween is right around the corner, and this Costco deal makes each full-size candy pack just $0.69. For comparison, Sam's Club sells a similar (but not exactly the same) 30-pack for $27.98.

9. Crest 3-D Whitestrips — $32.99

Why our editors recommend this deal: If you do the math to figure out the cost per strip, this Costco 60-pack comes in at just $0.55 per strip. At Target, you'd pay $44.99 for a 40-count box, or $1.12 per strip. So this Costco deal is 51% cheaper than the Target price.

10. Waterpik Flosser Combo Pack — $59.99

Why our editors recommend this deal: Costco knocked $20 off the price of this Waterpik combo pack for September. This is a price point we don't normally see until the holiday season kicks into gear in November and December.

Gift Cards

I’m a huge advocate for buying discounted gift cards whenever possible. It’s probably the most overlooked money-saving strategy out there.

And Costco is one of my favorite places to snatch up future savings with discounted gift cards. Especially gift cards I can use for restaurants and gaming purchases. Aim to buy $100 worth of gift cards for $79.99 (or cheaper) at Costco — an automatic savings of at least 20%.

Here are a few current gift card deals we've shared:

KCL TIP: Costco's gift card savings get even better around Black Friday and Cyber Monday when we see a few separate waves of Costco holiday deals.

Costco Rotisserie Chickens

You're getting a better price for your chicken at Costco compared to Walmart, and you’ll even pay a little less if you buy them cold (Costco's cold rotisserie chickens are $3.99 each).

Ever since 2009, Costco has made an effort to publicize their decision to keep chicken prices at $4.99, regardless of inflation. The company even built a $450 million poultry complex in Nebraska to help keep their rotisserie chicken prices low.

  • Costco: Rotisserie Chicken, $4.99 ($1.66/pound)

  • Walmart: Rotisserie Chicken, $5.97 ($2.65/pound)

Half-Sheet Cake

Tell me where else you can get a half-sheet cake filled with delicious mousse for $24.99. Spoiler alert: You can’t!

Half-sheet cakes at Walmart start at $48.16, and IMHO don’t even come close to the taste of Costco’s. The price per slice of a half-sheet cake from Walmart is nearly double the price of Costco's sheet cake prices.

  • Costco: Half-sheet cake, $24.99

  • Walmart: Half-sheet cake, $48.16

Hot Dog Combo at the Food Court

The hot dog combo is for sure one of the best things on Costco's food court menu when we’re talking about bang for your buck. And we determined that Costco's hot dogs are definitely larger than Sam's Club's hot dogs.

Costco hasn’t raised the price of their all-beef hot dog and fountain drink combo in 30 years — it's still sitting at just $1.50.

  • Costco Hotdog and Soft Drink Combo: $1.50

Organic Maple Syrup

Buying pure organic maple syrup is always going to be more expensive than standard syrup, no matter where you shop. And coupons for pure organic maple syrup are few and far between, making deals very rare.

But no other competitor comes close to Costco’s prices for organic syrup. Costco's organic syrup is actually 53% cheaper than Walmart's.

Almond Butter

You can save $0.09 per ounce when you buy almond butter at Costco instead of Walmart. I’m picky about almond butter, but since I’m also picky about getting a good deal, I’ve searched all over for a brand that’s both reasonably priced and tastes good.

Since almond butter coupons are rare, I usually end up paying the regular price. But Costco has the best price, hands down.

  • Costco: Kirkland Signature Almond Butter, 27 oz, $8.99 ($0.33/ounce)

  • Walmart: Sam’s Choice Almond Butter, 12 oz, $4.98 ($0.42/ounce)

Walnuts

Costco’s chopped walnuts are cheaper than Walmart’s chopped walnut options. Instead of dishing out more for the same thing, plan to save 60% when you buy your walnuts at Costco instead of Walmart.
