If you love free stuff as much as we do, you've probably seen TikToks with creators swearing that you can get all kinds of freebies just by writing to brands and asking. We've seen various tactics floating around, from inviting brands to your wedding to get free samples, to sending brands flattering letters to get discounts. But we're also seeing backlash and accusations of entitlement against people who take this way too far. (Asking small business owners for free swimming suits — seriously?!)
We at KCL are freebie lovers, but we're all about doing it the right way and getting free stuff with coupons. Politely writing to companies and asking for free coupons, we've found, is a sweet spot. With relatively little effort, we've gotten offers worth $5 or more, and sometimes free products from companies like SC Johnson, Chobani, Folgers, Frito-Lay, Kashi, and more.
So far, our KCL editors are up to 51 companies that have sent us coupons, with a total value of $202. Below, I'll show you how we did it.

How to Request Free Coupons by Mail
Our editors contacted all the brands below through the "contact us” form on their individual brand websites. Here’s how we wrote almost one hundred coupon requests:
We filled out our information in the contact form.
We included our names and mailing addresses in every request.
We filled in the comment box. If we had experience with the product we included it, but this didn't seem to make a difference in who sent us coupons in the end, so if you're pressed for time, go with the simple template below.

Whatever you receive, just remember that it’s worth your time to contact these companies because you never know what they’re willing to send your way.

Companies That Sent Us Free High-Value Coupons by Mail (Updated February 2025)
The list below includes offers our editors have received. Your mileage may vary, and the brands below might send you different freebies (or none at all). Plus, keep in mind that these coupons will be manufacturer coupons, meaning you'll need to use them in person at the store. You can't use them online (although these retailers let you use paper coupons when you order for store pickup).
Aidells sent two $1 coupons.
After we wrote to their contact us page, Aidells sent coupons to use on their meat products.
What we received:
Two $1/1 - Aidells product
Al Fresco sent two $1 coupons.
Al Fresco responded quickly to their contact form. They sent an email back the same day and said coupons were in the mail — we got them within the week.
What we received:
Two $1/1 - Package of any Al Fresco product any size, any flavor
Alexia Foods sent one $0.75 coupon.
To get in touch with Alexia Foods, fill out their contact form. Although they never responded to our request, they sent a coupon in the mail.
What we received:

Allegra lets you print two coupons worth $7 total.
Allegra said they don’t mail or email coupons, but said we should check their coupon page regularly. We were able to redownload and print coupons again after refreshing the page. Coupons will expire one month after you download, so keep that in mind.
What we received:
One $4/1 - Any Allegra Allergy 24HR 24-45 ct or any Allegra-D product
One $3/1 - Any Children’s Allegra product
Amy’s sent four coupons worth $5 total.
Amy’s sent a little coupon booklet after we reached out via their contact form. They also included a card which was a nice touch.

Aquaphor sent three coupons, for a total of $9 off.
One of our highest-dollar coupon deliveries was from Aquaphor (worth $9). You can find their contact form online.

Aveeno sent two coupons, one worth $5.
We got one of our highest single-coupon values from Aveeno (worth $5) when we reached out via their contact form.

Barilla sent coupons and recipe booklets.
To get in touch with Barilla, fill out their contact form. They sent two coupons and three recipe books. They also said coupons are sometimes available on their website or in Sunday paper inserts. You can create an account to get recipes, exclusive coupons, and their newsletter.
What we received:
One $1/1 - Any box of Barilla Veggie, Whole Grain, Legume, Gluten Free, or Protein+ Pasta

Benadryl sent two $1 coupons.
Benadryl told us they don’t send out coupons, but recommended we use their coupon page whenever we want to save some money. The link to their coupon page isn't easy to find on the site, but we saved it for you.
We were able to print each coupon twice in one sitting. Keep an eye on the expiration dates when you print them; it looks like Benadryl updates the coupons monthly with new dates.
What we received:
One $1/1 - Any Benadryl product (excludes Children’s and trial/travel sizes)

Blistex sent five $0.25 off coupons.
To get in touch with Blistex, fill out their contact form. It took about three weeks from when they responded to our request to receive these coupons in the mail, but they don’t expire.

Blue Bunny Ice Cream sent three $0.75 off coupons.

Colgate-Palmolive sent eight coupons for a total value of $5.50.
Colgate-Palmolive is one of those companies that has a lot of brands, so reaching out with their contact form gets you quite a few coupons (eight, in our case).

One $1/1 - Colgate 360 manual toothbrush

Eggland’s Best sent two coupons and a nutrition guide.
Eggland’s Best quickly responded to our request, and we received coupons within two weeks. They'll mail you coupons three times per year if you ask via their contact us page.
What we received:
Two $0.50/1 - Any variety of Eggland’s Best eggs (one coupon is separate, one is in booklet)
One booklet with egg nutrition info, product guide, and a recipe
Ferrara — home to lots of candy brands — sent a voucher for a free candy item.
When I tried to contact Keebler, it took me to Ferrara’s contact page. Ferrara quickly responded to our request, and about two weeks later we received a coupon for free candy.
What we received:

Florida’s Natural sent two $0.55 coupons.

Folgers sent us two $1 coupons.
We got two coupons from Folgers, good for Folgers products and 1850 Coffee products, after reaching out via their contact form.

Frito-Lay sent four coupons for a total of $3.10 in value.
Frito-Lay has a lot of snack brands, so they're a good one to request coupons from. Their coupons are good on Cheetos, Ruffles, Tostitos, and more.

Garden of Eatin’ sent two coupons.
Garden of Eatin’ is one of Hain Celestial’s companies, and they sent two coupons just for asking on their contact page.

Gotham Greens sent us a coupon for a free product.
Writing to Gotham Greens got us a coupon worth one free product. For reference, their Spinach Artichoke dip costs $4.89 at grocery stores, and their Gotham Greens dressing costs $7.79, so this could potentially be a high-value coupon.
What we received:

Halo Top sent us three $1 coupons.
The low-calorie ice cream brand sent us three coupons worth $1 each when we reached out via their contact form. (Note: The photo shows two, but we found another one hiding in the envelope later).
What we received:
Three $1/1 - Any Halo Top frozen pint or novelty pack
Health-Ade Kombucha sent us a coupon for a free bottle.
Contacting Health Ade got us a coupon good for a free bottle of Kombucha.
What we received:
One FREE - Bottle of Health Ade kombucha, up to a $4.49 value
Horizon Organic Dairy sent two $0.55 coupons.
Horizon Organic replied to our request to their contact form saying they no longer send out paper coupons, that all of them are digital now, and that we should create an account with them to receive coupons when they release them a couple times a year.
However, they were kind enough to send coupons in the mail as a “one-time courtesy." They sent two coupons and a card.
What we received:
Two $0.55/1 - Any Horizon Organic product (excluding Horizon Grassfed Milk and individual single serve milk boxes)
Kashi sent us a coupon for $2 off cereal or granola.
Reaching out via Kashi's contact form got us a coupon worth $2, which arrived about three weeks after our request via the contact form.
What we received:

Ken's Steak House Dressing sent us a coupon for $1 off.
About two weeks after getting in touch via Ken's online form, we got a coupon in the mail for $1 off any Ken's salad dressing product.

King’s Hawaiian sent four $1 coupons and some stickers.
King’s Hawaiian sent great coupons, though they did take a couple weeks to arrive. They also sent two stickers, a little business card, a recipe card, and a large thank you card. To ask for these coupons, use their contact us form.

Four $1/1 - Any package of King’s Hawaiian rolls, buns, or bread

Land O’ Lakes sent four coupons — including one for eggs.
Land O’ Lakes sent three coupons by mail. Land O’ Lakes is a sister company to Kozy Shack, so they sent one of those coupons as well. The eggs coupon was particularly welcome, given the price of eggs these days. Here's their request form.

Listerine sent a $3 coupon.
After we got in touch with Listerine via their online form, we got a $3 coupon in the mail, good on any Listerine product (mouthwash, Pocketpaks, or Pocketmist).

Martinelli's sent us five $1 coupons.
The sparkling juice company sent us $5 worth of coupons when we reached out via their contact form.

Michelina’s sent two $1 coupons.
Michelina's sent a nice note and two $1 coupons to use on two Michelina's frozen entrees. Request these coupons using their contact form. Michelina's entrees generally cost $1 - $1.25, so these coupons basically get you a BOGO deal.
What we received:
Two $1/2 - Any Michelina’s frozen items
Mrs. T’s sent two coupons and a free voucher.
Mrs. T’s sent a thank you email, then mailed a booklet with two $1 coupons and a coupon for a free package of pierogis. All you have to do is ask via their contact page.

Primal Kitchen sent us five coupons worth up to $12.99 each.
Primal Kitchen sent us five coupons for free products (sauce, pizza, olive oil, and more), ranging in value from up to $8.99 to up to $12.99.
What we received:
Five FREE - Primal Kitchen products (up to $8.99 - up to $12.99)
Quaker sent two coupons, worth $0.75 each.
Within two weeks of requesting coupons via their contact form, Quaker (which is owned by Pepsico) sent us two coupons. Note that each Pepsico brand has its own contact-us page.
What we received:

Rhodes sent two coupons and some recipe cards.
Rhodes sent a booklet with six recipe cards and two coupons. To get your share of the savings, shoot them a request using their contact form.

SC Johnson sent us 28 coupons, worth a total of $25.
This was our highest-value coupon delivery by far. When we contacted SC Johnson, they came through with two coupon booklets, each with 14 coupons. SC Johnson has a lot of brands, so we got coupons for Ziploc, Windex, Glade, Off, Raid, Drano, and more.

Sensible Portions sent two $0.55 coupons.
