Free diapers seem like an impossibility or a far-off dream when you’re always on the hunt for baby deals, but used to shelling out up to $100 per month on diapers. But the truth is that it’s totally possible to supplement your diaper stash with nappies that don’t cost a penny.

It’s also possible to learn how to never again pay full retail price for diapers. I’ll give you some tips for that and direct you where to learn more if you’re interested. But first things first, how to get free diapers!

Here are all the details on diaper coupons for you.

1. Earn Fetch Rewards points toward free diapers with the Huggies Diaper Rewards program.

The Huggies Diaper Rewards program has changed over the years, but one thing has stayed the same: every time you purchase Huggies, you accumulate points that you can redeem for gift cards.

Currently, the program operates in conjunction with Fetch Rewards. Use the Fetch Rewards app to take a picture of your Huggies purchase receipt. You’ll earn 10 points for every $1 you spend, and when you reach 5,000 points, you’ll get your first $5 gift card to a retailer of your choice. Best part? Gift cards to stores like Walmart, Target, Amazon, and more are options. So you can spend them on more diapers.

Here’s the Fetch Rewards point breakdown:

  • Spend $150, earn 5,000 Fetch Rewards Points = $5 Gift Card

  • Spend $350, earn 10,000 Fetch Rewards Points = $10 Gift Card

  • Spend $550, earn 15,000 Fetch Rewards Points = $15 Gift Card

  • Spend $750, earn 20,000 Fetch Rewards Points = $20 Gift Card

TIP: You can also enter to win a year of free Huggies diapers when you sign up on the Huggies website.

2. Sign up for a Target Baby Registry to get free diapers.

Although items rotate, chances are good that you’ll score a few free diapers in your welcome goody bag after you sign up for a Target Baby Registry. Picking up the bag is totally worth it — you’ll get $100 worth of exclusive samples and coupons, including diaper coupons.

3. Coupon at Target to earn free gift cards to spend on diapers.

Learn how to coupon at Target and make sure you do all the free Target gift card deals. Often, we see deals like “Buy two laundry detergents, get a $5 Target gift card.” You need laundry detergent anyway, right? Often, Target will offer a Circle coupon to give you even steeper savings on the detergent. So it’s a two-fer. You get discounted household items like laundry detergent, and you get Target gift cards to save up and use on diapers.

4. Start an Amazon Baby Registry to get free diapers.

Amazon Baby Registry is another awesome opportunity to get freebies, including free diapers. They came in the most recent Welcome Box I received. Here’s what else I got:

  • Diapers and wipes from brands like Huggies, Pampers, WaterWipes, and The Honest Company

  • 3-piece hat, glove, and sock set

  • Philips Avent baby bottle

  • Nonobebe pacifier

  • Laundry detergent samples from brands like Dreft and Seventh Generation

  • Baby wash and lotion from brands like Aveeno, Cetaphil, Baby Bum, and Baby Dove

  • Coupons

5. Get free diapers with all the Amazon gift cards you can earn.

There are lots of ways to earn Amazon gift cards, and if you’re looking for free diapers, you can essentially create your own freebie once you’ve saved up enough gift cards.

First, you can use Amazon Trade-In to get gift cards when you mail in your old devices. For example, you could get a $25 Amazon gift card when you trade in a 3rd generation Echo Dot.

Then there’s Fetch Rewards, which I already covered for Huggies purchases, but you can also redeem your other receipts for Fetch points that translate to gift cards.

Get Amazon gift cards through Ibotta when you take pictures of your grocery receipts.

6. Use your Amazon gift cards with the Amazon Family discount for 20% off.

Check out this hack: you know those free Amazon gift cards you earned through Fetch Rewards, Amazon Trade-In, and more? Instead of paying full retail price for diapers (remember you’re using the gift cards you earned — this tip is just to get more value out of the gift cards), sign up for Amazon Family to save an additional 20%.

Amazon Family is Subscribe & Save for baby items. Instead of the usual 15% Subscribe & Save discount, you’ll get 20% off.

7. Use your Walgreens Cash and CVS ExtraBucks on diapers.

Sign up for myWalgreens and you’ll start earning 1% back whenever you make a purchase and 5% back when you buy Walgreens-branded products. When you have enough for a pack of diapers, use your Walgreens Cash to buy them.

CVS’s ExtraCare program offers something similar. When you sign up for ExtraCare, you’ll start earning 2% cash back in the form of ExtraBucks. When you have enough saved up, use them to get diapers.

Best part? When you learn how to coupon at Walgreens and how to coupon at CVS, you’ll know the secret to combining coupons with sales. You’ll get everything so much cheaper! It’s a lot more than free diapers.

8. Ask your Mom Group to start a diaper pass-along program.

When a child has suddenly outgrown a diaper size, one mom can pass the rest of the package on to another mom whose child is still comfortably rockin’ that size.

9. Check the National Diaper Bank to see if you qualify for free diapers.

If you’re considered “low income” in your area, you may pick up free diapers from your local diaper bank.

You can dial 211 on your phone to talk to someone, or go to 211.org to see if you qualify.

10. Take home all the hospital freebies.

After having my kids, the hospital sent me home with a bag of goodies, including whatever brand of diapers my baby had been using in the nursery.

Be sure to ask if your birthing center or hospital offers any type of goody bag for new mothers.

Bonus: Stack coupons with sales to get (almost) free diapers.
