1. Deodorize baby bottles.
Get rid of that stale-milk smell from your child’s bottles. Squirt some toothpaste in the bottle, add warm water, shake, and rinse out.
2. Use it to remove permanent marker from almost any surface.
Apply a bit of regular toothpaste (avoid the gel kind) directly on permanent marker stains — whether on a wall, wood floor, or even TV — and use a damp cloth to rub the paste in. Rinse the cloth and wipe up the toothpaste.
3. Clean and whiten the rubber on shoes.
Use an old toothbrush to scrub away the dirt and grime, then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
4. Keep a bathroom mirror fog-free.
Squirt a few dabs on the glass and rub it in thoroughly. Rinse well.
5. Clean styling tools.
Clean the hair-product gunk off your styling tools with a bit of regular toothpaste. Make sure the styling tool is off, and rub a bit in with a damp cloth.
6. Lighten discolored nails with whitening toothpaste.
Use a toothbrush or a nail brush to remove stains.

7. Remove coffee or tea stains from a mug.
Rub toothpaste into the stains with a sponge and rinse off.
8. Mark where to hang a frame or wall decoration.
Dab toothpaste onto the back of a frame then hold and press the frame to wall. The toothpaste will leave spots, showing you where to nail.
9. Clean and shine a sink.
This works especially well on stainless steel sinks and steel fixtures. Squeeze out some paste and use a sponge to rub it in. Rinse clean with water.
10. Fill small holes in your drywall.
No spackling paste? No problem. Just use a bit of toothpaste for a quick fix.
11. Remove small scratches on CDs and cellphone screens.
Apply a tiny amount of toothpaste to a cotton swab or soft cloth and gently rub the paste onto your screen or scratched CD in a circular motion. (Don’t rub too hard — you could accidentally remove any surface coating.) Wipe the paste away with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
12. Rub the grime off of headlights.
Squeeze out a blob of baking soda toothpaste onto a rag and rub the paste all over headlights. The abrasive texture of the baking soda in the toothpaste will help buff away grime.
Rinse headlights with water. Repeat as necessary.
